marcus (9556) - Sacramento, California, USA - JAN 2, 2017
Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours murky brown with a transient beige head and a sour floral aroma. There is a fairly sour brown malt fruit flavor that stays on the palate.

Bottle from Wine & Cheese. Pours dark brown with a transient head. Aroma is BFM mixed with cola. Med body. Flavor is lightly sour, darkish malt, darkish fruit, and some muddled earthiness. No where near so harsh as most BFM ales, but in that concept. Easy drinker for an Alvinne.

Bottle. It poured a murky amber color with a white head. The aroma was of raisins, cherries, some caramel, candy and yeast. The taste was similar to the aroma with more apples, pears, vinegar, malts and yeast. Good stuff.

Sampled at Gregwilsons tasting. Dark brown and mostly clear. An off white smallish head. A vinegar aroma with bugs and bark herbal stuff. Interesting. First sip follows the nose. Tannins and yeast. Not over complex but nice. A nice sweet malt backbone.
