Bottle. Pours a clear amber colored, brownish beer with a small and quickly disappearing white head on top. Aroma has notes of red fruits, some bretty funk, light dried citrussy notes as well. Flavor is sour and sweet, lots of red fruits, lot of sour funky notes and a nice kick from some alcohol and sweeter malty notes. Low in carbonation, long in sweetsour aftertaste. Complex, yet a bit unbalanced in the end. Nice. 90 (614) - BELGIUM - AUG 17, 2017

Nice sour aroma. Pours dark with little head. Taste is a tad tard, heavy Flemish ’Old Brown’. Makes me think of Cuvée Freddy. Mice palate with sours slightly leaving a wry mouthfeel. ruigo (3074) - PORTUGAL - JUL 18, 2017

Heavy gusher, appearance syrupy, some chunks of yeast floating around. Probably an older bottle. Aroma apple-sour, candisugar sweet and some alcohol but not too much considering abv. Taste apple again, slightly lactic too, sweetness not overdone. Nice but not too full or complex. Carbonation soft.

Bottle on HamTech campus & at Munchies bach. Pours deep murky brown, tan head. Aroma is molasses, raisin, dark fruits, wood, light lactic fruit. Flavor is sweet dark fruits, sour apple, vinegar, wood. Unique, but not my favorite. DerWeg (1695) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 5, 2017
33cl room temp and Dulvel glass. Pop, bottle doesn’t gush. Instant aromas. Pours a mature brown tinged red, highlights of gold, creamy brown head. Sniff, what a nice aroma, rich balsamic and apple, dry chocolate and wood..
The rich tart acetic and apple carry into the powerful flavour with some caramel, hints of stewed cherries, chocolate and dried sultanas and old wood. Good dry cider-like palate. Very wine-like layered fruity and acidic qualities, the burgundy of Belgium I guess they say. I bet carbonnade flamande made with this would fairly rock. Fantastic. Tap @ Bitter Phew. Red/brown with minimal head. Malty aromas, full of fruit cake, ester, cherry, rum and wood. Complex and difficult to pinpoint flavours - black currant, vinous, plums, savoury back notes, lick of wood. Slightly sour but not particularly so. markducommun (1187) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 29, 2017
Dark mahogany, light tan head. Dark raisin, tart. Vinous. Molasses. Fairly sweet, sour. Clean medium body, medium length finish. Good. SylvainCFC (301) - Brussels, BELGIUM - APR 10, 2017
Robe brune opaque aux reflets roux, col de mousse bien calibré, compacte, assez stable. Nez doucement acide, légèrement balsamique, touche salée, impression de câpres-anchois. Attaque douce, sucre candi, fruit rouge (cerise, mûre), acidité maîtrisée. Assez proche d’une Faro. Finale acide, citrique. Carbonatation vive, texture moyennement épaisse. Une bière acide sucrée, mais sans excès, balancée et complexe.
