fiulijn (20516) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 15, 2006
Cloudy deep blond color; creamy head. The aroma is spicy, with some orange peel. Full body, malty, with spices and orange peels, hiding very well the alcohol, sweet and bitter. Very good Belgian Ale.

auderale (605) - Minot, North Dakota, USA - MAR 8, 2006
Amber colored pour with nice frothy head. Sweet, spicy aroma with a nice sour to sweet taste.

TBone (17588) - Pori, FINLAND - FEB 12, 2006
Bottled, alc. 8.7% (BB 11/2005)
Deep hazy orange, not much head. Glue and grassy hops plus some alcohol in the nose. Woody, dry, hoppy flavor. Woody aftertaste too. Simple, woody and dry tripel.

sayravai (4710) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 30, 2006
UPDATED: MAR 17, 2007 (Bottled) Opaque orange color with a small, lacy head. Crisp, spicy, orangey, alcoholic aroma. Thick-malty, sweetish, very fruity flavor with some alcohol and acidity. Long, spicy, sticky-tickling-sweet aftertaste. Medium to full-bodied, slightly barley-wineous palate with soft carbonation. A brew with great personality - and enough balance to be enjoyable. A real bang for the buck, with no ingredients spared! Seems to vary in quality, as the second encounter was quite alcoholic and not nearly as fruity.

bierkoning (13364) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - DEC 1, 2005
Pinkish golden color, cloudy. Soft mandarin aroma with a touch of yeast. Alcohol hidden somewhat by a fruity sweetness. Mandarin Napoleon liquor. Pleasant beer.

PIVOMAN (15) - Gent, BELGIUM - NOV 19, 2005
this is one of the best tripels i had in my life, maybe even the best. the color of the beer is really beautiful and when you drink it, you just want more.

pivo (2685) - GERMANY - OCT 30, 2005
Alcohol already in the nose with some banana and wheat - like a banana cream pie. Deep gold color with a foamy sticky head. Honey malt with a hint of syrup. Orange and corriander too. Some sugar in the body, but countered by a dainty drying pepper. Leaves a sweet coating on the lips. Silky texture and a very full body. Rich for a triple. I quite liked this one.

YogiBeera (2569) - New Jersey, USA - OCT 23, 2005
An unexpected and nice find at Dickie’s in Brugge. Orange color with a medium rocky head. Medium carbonation. Yeast, banana and vanilla and also flowers and acohol in the nose. Medium intense koriander taste, some cookie dough - medum lasting taste. It is spicy in the begining and smooths down - quite nice.

schuimkroaat (427) - Leuven, BELGIUM - SEP 12, 2005
33 cl bottle, bottling date Feb 05. Dark amber, good haze, fine, rich white head. Sweet, floral, relatively artificial (chewing gum) aroma. Sweet, juicy taste with sour teasing and liqueur flavour in the background and gentle but lingering hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Rich orange juice palate with prickling sensation. Nice (specially with roasted chicken I tried it with :-)), but too sweet to be really serious.

rauchbier (3891) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - AUG 22, 2005
Bottle, ZBF2005. Hazy bronze gold, thin off white head and moderate condition. Sweet caramel and fruity banana in the nose, thick and chewy in the mouth with sweet banana notes and a bitter yeastiness developing. Sweet banana and yeast in the finish. Tasted a little on the young side, but shows potential to get much better.
