Grauw paars/auberginekleurig bier zonder schuimkraag. Geur: wat vanille, griotte kersen op siroop! Smaak: vermolmd hout, licht zuur. Geen goede balans, het hout neemt hier over. Weinig koolzuurprikkel. De geur is beter dan de smaak. Rune (13746) - Tromsø, NORWAY - FEB 2, 2016
500ml bottle picked up at Vinmonopolet Vika in February 2013 and stored in my cellar. Unclear mahogany coloured body, ruby tinted. Dissipating beige head. Red berry tartness and oak on the nose. Taste of oak, tart red berries and dried fruits. Vinous impression. Palate cleanser (shared with Finn and djoeye at a session in Tromsø, 01.02.2016). Finn (8305) - Tromsø, NORWAY - FEB 2, 2016

24.04.2014, 0,5l bottle @ BBGTC tasting:ClubGonzo (5683) - Bergen, NORWAY - APR 24, 2014
Tiny fizzy shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet winy, red berries, oak, caramel malts, raisins, prune compote, redwine, sugar, grass. Taste is slightly sour-ish dry, sorrel, raw rhubarb, berry skin, oak, grass, hay, bark, redwine, raw rhubarb. Longlasting mild bitterness, very dry mouthfeel. Fair enough.
Bottle, shared with BBGTC. Pours a dark bronze body with a miniscule, fast disappearing white head. Aroma is dark fruits, raisins, prunes, apricot, sour vinous tones, hints of red berries, balsamic and red wine. Taste is sour red fruits, prunes, cherries, leather, raisins, mild balsamic, citric acid and hints of wood, red wine and oaky tannins. Medium body, soft yet prickly carbonation. Extremely complex, but in this case I think the complexity (of which I am usually a big fan) kinda kills the beer in a way; it gets too much in too little space and the whole thing feels more like a wine with a hint of beer. Decent, but not amazing. ej (1330) - Hauglandshella, NORWAY - APR 24, 2014
Pours a brownish with hints of copper, fully diminishing head, leaving no trace of carbonation. Aroma is oaky with notes of apricots and a faint tartness. Taste is moderate sour with vinous notes of oak, cherries and a faint bitter, leathery thing. Co2 is close to absent and it has a slick mouthfeel. Dry Gorm (1899) - Sandnes, NORWAY - MAR 6, 2014
