Tap at Maxs Taphouse. Pours brown with ruby highlights and a small, fizzy off-white head, spare retention and lacing. Aroma is sour and acetic plums and cherries with light date notes, cookie and caramel malt with light earthy and spicy hops. Flavor is sour dark fruity esters with light hops and bitterness, supporting malt and a dry finish. Medium body and light carbonation.

330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger, who got this beer by a mistake from the importer. ABV is 6.9%. Dark brown to ruby colour, pours with a low and fizzy beige head that dies out instantly. Sweet & sour aroma, notes of red wine, red wine vinegar, oak and herbs. The flavour is very sour, vinegary and oaky, medium sweet. No bitterness. Interesting to have sampled a real oud bruin, but this is really not my cup of tea at all. Could not finish the bottle.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, mahogany colour with a beige mid-sized foamy head. Vinegary and woody aroma with fruity notes of red berries and morello cherries, accompanied by mildly toasted malt and a tinge of cacao. Moderately sour flavour, medium to light bodied with a smooth carbonation. Dark malt-character upfront with notes of caramel, dark chocolate, combined with pronounced acidic fruity flavours; dry and vinegary finish with notes of toasted malt and berry fruits. Enjoyable Sour Ale. 11.I.13

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours dark brown with a rapidly disappearing tan head and a delicious sour vanilla and plum aroma. There is a sour dark and red fruit flavor with a vinegar finish. Typical Alvinne, although the bottle did not overflow when opened.

Bottle from Vika enjoyed at home
Pours dark brown with a small head that falls down to nothing really fast. Smells of roasted malts, liquorice, some funk and caramel. Moderate sweet, then heavy sour, some dark fruits, cherries, but mostly a wall of sour. This ends up a bit one dimentional maybe; feels a bit like its unfinished and needs some barrell aging.

SPDickerman (1233) - Texas, USA - JAN 2, 2013
Pours dark mahogany brown with a super fizzy light brown head. Smells a tiny bit malty and a little bit sour. Taste is basically straight sour. Light-bodied with a slightly astringent texture and lively mouth-carbonation, Alvinne Undressed finishes with a light sour kick.
