larsga (7625) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 30, 2012
Small beige head. Hazy deep dark red body with light carbonation. Earthy wild berry aroma with fruity oily notes. Dry-acidic wooden wild berry taste with cranberry notes. Thin body. Sharpish, astringent mouthfeel. Dry-acidic wooden earthy wild berry aftertaste with metallic notes. Not really very nice. (0.5l bottle, wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)

75cl bottle at Håndverkerstuene. No Batch or date info. Very dark red, and bordering on brown colour with no head. Aroma is a tad sour and vinous. Notes of red berries and some wet wood. Flavour is very acidious with massive notes of citrus. Lots of red berries. Some oak. Short aftertaste.

visionthing (5492) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 12, 2012
33cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Pours dark brown with a fast fading beige head. Berrylike aroma, sour berries reminds me a bit of lingonberries, red currant or cranberries. Sweet, lightly roasted malt follows with some hints of caramel and coffee. Nice and sour with flavour of sour red berries, red wine and hints of balsamic vinegar. A nice surprise, a really nice sour beer - surprisingly fruity (or the berry equivalent) and very refreshing. Quite interesting and very enjoyable!

Pour is light brown/caramel with a thin head that fades almost instantly. Aroma is of chocolate and sour cherries with some slight vinegar in the background. Flavor is interesting, much more mild than I would have thought from the aroma - notes of caramel and sour funk.

Barrelbelly (750) - BELGIUM - DEC 2, 2012
Pitch black with no head. Soury chocolate and malts aroma. Taste is dominated by the sourness and sour black berries taste, some wood.

This very interesting beer was on draft at THE LOCAL Beer Bar in Eureka, CA. It came in the glass a dark garnet color with a pinkish head. Light lacing rings. The nose is wild smelling, with some hints of vinegar and wine .Medium in body with a lively mouthfeel. The flavor is tart and sour, with some light fruit, and earthiness. The finish is sour fruit and funk. Really interesting and delicious “wild beer”. Love these kind or sours.

Bov (13170) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - OCT 22, 2012
from Erzbierschof - very dark beer with a long lasting dark beige foam; roasted chocolate is dominated by sourish cherries and hints of vinegar; moderate malt backbone, low carbonation and creamy palate; late and solid sourness; short aftertaste of vinegar - weird and not my type of beer

AlberRueda (58) - - OCT 16, 2012

Countbeer (6591) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - OCT 10, 2012
Bottle: Thanks Roman, Medium sized nutty caramel light brown colored lively head on top of a deep dark and murky brown colored beer. Smell manure, chocolate, yeast, light sour tint, barleys, dark candy sweetness (toffee, caramel) but overpowered by the sour yeasty nose. Taste light tartness, yeasty tart/sour, malty sour, grainy sour, hint of liquorice, caramel and barleys. Unbalanced. There’s a nasty stingy bitter malty tone. Aftertaste is yeasty sour with some malts and a stingy malty sour tint. Medium carbo, watery but a bit harsher mouthfeel, medium bodie and a watery texture. A weak clone of Orval... Not that it is their mission... Anyways, strange pretty annoying unbalanced sour malty tint...
