Tasted on 11/14/13 from a capped, squat 330mL bottle purchased at Woodland Wine Merchant. Pours very dark brown with a very thick, slow building beige head that slowly recedes to no lace whatsoever. The nose is sweetish caramel malt with plenty of brown sugar, red wine vinegar, a touch of bread, some funk, and lemon acidity. The flavor is more aggressively sour with the lemon and red wine vinegar, moving to a more roasted, dark caramel and bread than on the nose. The body is fairly light with some tannic structure, lively, stinging carbonation, and a long tart, sour, and lightly toasted finish.

Bottle- pour is cloudy and a murky brown color with a highly carbonated pour and very quickly dissipating head. The aroma is sour cherries. The taste is sour, tart notes of black cherry, reminds of a jolly rancher, and lightly sweet. No hops are prevalent in the flavor, overall a good sour beer. Fairly straightforward sour notes, not overly complex.

Murky dark brown with a fast-evaporating tan head. Lovely sour and woody aroma with some brown malt tones and a bit of tart fruit. Delightful tart and brown malty flavor with a lovely lacto and woody tone with some delightful Belgian sour dark brown tones. Really hard to describe but layered and tart and malty and complex.

Pours a clear, deep reddish brown with a lacy off-white head. Medium-light body and medium carbonation. Aroma of vinegar and cherries. Sweet-tart cherry taste leading to a dry finish.

Roodbruin bier zonder schuim. Smaak is erg zuur en niet echt bijzonder. Mogelijk dat een liefhebber dit meer waardeert, ik echter heb liever iets minder zuur bier.

At Maakuns. Bottle shared by Maakun. Clear dark brown. Balsamico, wet old wood, grape pits, woodglue. Strong sour. Medium body, very light carbonation. Nice but a bit overwhelming sourness, woodiness and little else.

Bottle shared at home. Deep reddish brown with barely any head. Lots of sour berries, blackcurrant, light oxidized notes, soft dry herbs, overripe fruits. Mostly a lot of sour fruits, with some dry chalky notes and a bit of flour. Over medium sour, with very light bitter. Medium bodied with puckering feel and soft carbonation.
