500 ml bottle, shared by Saeglopur, many thanks. 500 ml bottle, vintage 2016. Pours a slightly hazy, deep copper with quickly disappearing white head. The aroma is sour with citric fruits, red berries, some vinegar and oak. Medium body with a light to medium carbonation, a medium to heavy initial sourness, which softens a little bit and which is followed by a light sweetness. Dry finish with hints of alcohol. Flavor of citric acid, lemon, red berries, some vinegar, black currant, raspberries, some woody notes and a berry tartness.

Saeglopur (2207) - Vienna Woods, AUSTRIA - JUN 25, 2017
500 ml bottle from Etre Gourmet, 2016 vintage limited to 400 bottles.
Dark amber-copper, hazy body, with a small, yellowish head.
Aroma of oak, wine, lots of sour berries, vinegar, subtle cheese, slight funk.
Tastes quite similar, but with the berries more defined, blueberries and cherries sticking out a bit.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes sour, medium dry, wooden, vinous, sour fruity, with lots of berries again, some lingering blueberry skin.

Tasty. The nose has a bit too much vinegarish notes for me, while it’s still really complex. Taste starts also pretty acidic, but quickly merges into diverse berry notes. Overall not my favourite Alvinne I’ve had, but still great stuff.

Podstawa to Wild West z Alvinne, leżakowane w beczkach po Chateau La Croizillé z wiśniami, tarniną, agrestem, malinami, jagodami. Po otworzeniu o dziwo bez gushingu, do którego przyzwyczaił mnie Alvinne. Aromat to niesamowite nuty agrestowe, pestkowe, niezwykle złożone, owocowe, trochę beczki, lekki karmel, lekka tarnina, ale przede wszystki agrest. Po ogrzaniu wychodzi trochę dębiny i lakto. Smak wytrawny, umiarkowanie kwaśny, lekko octowy. Ściągające i raz jeszcze niezwykle złożone. Klasa na miarę Wicked Weed.

Bottle shared thanks to N8daGr8 ! Pours a vibrant rose color with a finger of pinkish foam. The nose is a cacophony of berry flavors with juicy inviting depth and a touch of vinous acidity and barrel funk laying underneath. Palate follows with refreshing carbonation, layers of berry goodness from front to back with nice depth and complexity all around. A nice refreshing acidity and basement funk lingers to finish the delight of this berry potion !

500 ml bottle. Pours pinkish/orangish. Not much aroma, and the existing aroma is nothing special, smells like most sour fruit beers. The taste of berries hits you as soon as you take a sip. Extremely pleasant, extremely complex. The aftertaste lasts for a long time. One of the best, if not the best, tasting sour beers I have had the pleasure of drinking.

Bouteille 50cl, BB 11/2025, batch# 799.
