COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bitterhed: 80+ IBU

English: With this special brew, Batch One, we dared to experiment with combining our usual devotion to a solid malt profile with the addition of American aroma hops. Batch One is an American-inspired Ale characterized by its vast, full body and generous use of hops. In the glass, it has a reddish-brown colour with a coppery glow, and a beige-coloured head leaves a nice lacing behind. For this brew we have chosen to only use the noble Simcoe hop, both for boiling and the following dry-hopping. The hops give the beer its fresh citrus-like character and impart a solid bitterness to balance the sweet caramel malt.
Bitterness: 80+ IBU

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber-brown with a big, creamy beige/brown head. Nice. Crisp citrus hoppy aroma on a malty background with remote fruity notes. Notes of plastic, but not in a bad way, for some reason. They’re wellbalanced. Wellbalanced plastic notes, yes :-). Candy-like notes in the vicinity of the glass. Sweetish flavour with a hoppy bitterness. Full-bodied. Lingering hoppy bitterness in the finish. Dry. Notes of alcohol and apple. A sourish touch. Smooth palate. 29-05-07.

Bottle (courtesy Jacob) at Papsoe pre-KO tasting. Reddish amber colour. Powerful flowery and fruity hop character with firm malt backbone. Has a real kick to it. Perhaps a bit too much of a kick - I found the alcohol a little hot and intrusive, which pulled down the score a little. But undoubtedly a very tasty beer.

Draft - Hazy red brown body, huge whipped cream like head, lasting; Big pleasant hoppy nose, lots of resin and lots of grapefruit peel; Super soft carbonation on a soft textured body, bitter; Long very bitter finish, very resin like aromas. Great beer with a little to much concentrated hop aroma.
