Bottle from Bottlecraft in San Diego, CA. Also recently saw at Willow's Market in Menlo Park, CA. Aroma is cedar, chocolate, earthy pepper. Taste is slick, silky dark chocolate / espresso and then hits you with an amazing cedar / pepper note. Big hit of cedar here which I absolutely love (takes on a nice replacement for bittering hops). Massive beer that I could drink forever. What a treat. fidelis83 (2523) - Clinton, Iowa, USA - MAR 28, 2017
Deep black pour with a three finger creamy to chunky tan head. Aroma is huuuge on black pepper, sweet roasted nuts, roast, tons of spicy grain notes and some clove-like cedar. As it warms some faint citrus and tropical hop notes come out. Flavor is cedar, black pepper and char up front, then some mint, toasted wood (cedar?, I don’t know), bitter roast, big spicy rye, bakers chocolate, guava, dark caramel and burnt orange sweet rolls. Heavy body, creamy, chewy feel, light, but blanketing and sharp carbonation, suits the beer perfectly. I really liked this beer. I was expecting some considerable heat from the black pepper, considering how strong it was in the aroma, but its barely discernable. nasty3939 (34) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - FEB 5, 2017
I was really excited by this beer becuase I am a big fan of peppered beer. Usually what I look for is something trying to emulate Mexican Chocolate, but this is spiced with black pepper. Pour gives off a great tan head on a black body with the pepper being the first thing to hit your nose. You can definitely taste the Cigar City influence through the cedar wood taste along chocolate, coffee, and licorice but what you get first is the warmth and bite of the pepper. This beer is a success for me, but I don’t think I’d recommend it without knowing that the person enjoyed a pepper beer. CraftBeerNick (2888) - London Town, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 12, 2017
Bottle at home, 12th January 17. Pours black, perfect tan head. Aroma is black treacle, liquorice, burnt notes, coffee. Taste is peat, wood, barrel, liquorice, coffee, treacle, spice and a little heat from the black pepper, stops this from being too sweet. Korcz (3390) - Warsaw, POLAND - NOV 12, 2016

Bottle, batch 993, bb 04/2020. Pours black, with brownish head. Aromas of tobacco, dark chocolate, pepper. Moderately sweet, with distinct bitterness and resinous aftertaste. Oily, full-bodied. Quite interesting. PacoRasas (11) - Toledo, SPAIN - NOV 1, 2016
Black-brown with a creamy beige head. The nose holds rich burnt cedar, chocolate. Medium sweet flavor with heavy charred wood, earth, dirt, bitter cocoa. Full bodied with fine carbonation. The oppressive burnt wood character continues into the finish, with further earthy bitterness. Good. StilleStorm (1582) - Stavanger, NORWAY - OCT 29, 2016
DWF: Bottle 50 CL., drunk at Cardinal. Pours small to moderate, black with a creamy, lacing and fading tan head. Nose is heavy, roasted malt, chocolate, coffe, wood, moderate dried dark fruit, light alchol and liqorice. Taste is heavy sweet and bitter with a lasting roasted, pepperish, warming finish. Body is full, texture is thick, carbonation soft. AndyW68 (1632) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JUL 23, 2016

Butelka z datą: 04/2020, batch nr: 993.
WYGLĄD: Barwa czarna, nieprzejrzyste. Piana drobna, średniej wysokości.Pięknie zdobi szkło.
AROMAT: Intensywny. Dominuje lukrecja i nuty leśno-ziołowe.
Specyficzne. Mi smakowało.
