COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle, november 7th 2015. Black body with brown lacings. Aroma of roasted coffee, whisky and licorice, mild vanilla and earth. Taste is sweet with a light salt sting, oak and roast, warm pleasing whisky feel towards the finish. It’s a very good one, layers of coffee and whisky peeling of each other in a quite beautiful way.

375 ml bottle at Hasse, thanks! Black with tan head. Aroma has liquorice, tar, coffee, ash, sweet malts, vanilla. Taste is rich and sweet, alcohol, liquorice, vanilla, oak, bourbon, caramel, ashy notes with a long finish.

Bottle, 2010 vintage, generously shared by Lasse. Black/reddish with a small beige head. Aroma is fantastic and blends so well together! Raisins, bourbon, coffee, salt liquorice, dark chocolate, sweet notes and alcohol. Taste is dominated by bourbon and raisins, has light tartness/oxidation, some dark chocolate and roasted notes. Full body, low carbonation, super smooth mouth feel. Short, watery after taste.
A bit over the hill but the aroma weighs is all up.

375ml Bottle - Black in colour. Whisky, coffee and liquorice in the aroma. Liquorice, salt, whisky, coffee, raisins and chocolate feature in the taste. Rich, yet easy to drink.

375 ml bottle. Pours black with no head. Aromas of black coffee, alcohol, blackberries, and more alcohol. Jeez I’ll be stumbling home... Flavors of coffee liquor, dried black coffee, nuts, black licorice and heavily roasted malts. Oily and hot. Light my breath...

Bov (13219) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - SEP 27, 2013
courtesy of thomas and Philipp - black beer with a poor head retention; solid sour woody bourbon-like aroma, coffee and vanilla, licorice; fairly sweet and very bitter; long chocolatey and coffeish finish with assertive and very astringent woody notes, caramel and licorice - nice example of what you should not do with wood ageing

Countbeer (6591) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - AUG 31, 2013
Bottle: Thanks Papsø: Served in a Chouffe glass: Batch 146: Deep dark brown pour. Medium to smaller beige to light brown foamy head that disappears quick and leaves a headless black beer in my glass. Aromas of vinous, tar, roast, liquorice, liquor, alcohol, tar, some rubber. Deep dark vinous roast. Heavy yet complex! Flavours of roast, tar, liquor, vinous, spicy, hint of alcohol, bitter, coal, vanilla, roasted barley malts, bourbon, cream, raisin and berries, deep dark roast! Aftertaste is a mix of roast, tar, rubber, roast, coal, liquor and liquorice. Low carbo, soft creamy yet light spicy mouthfeel, medium bodied and a creamy texture.

Hmm
