Bottle at a tasting at Paul’s. Pours a deep black with a hint of a thin brown head. Big sweet roast, a bit of plum and oxidization on the nose. Medium to thick bodied, lots of sweetness and a big hit of booze. Boozy, warm and roasty, lots of chocolate and roast into more booze on the finish, cocoa and a touch of bitterness. jtclockwork (17101) - , New Jersey, USA - JUL 14, 2012

Black stout, frothy tan head. Semi soft and surprisingly light palate. Dry and minerally wood with bitter chocolate. Finishes with rich malt and some hop coming through. Okay but a bit dry and the wood could be sweeter.
Bottle at Olutrevintola Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Black pour with a light tan head that disappears quickly. Vanilla, chocolate, coffee and whiskey aroma. Vanilla heavy flavour with chocolate and coffee. A slight sharpness and alcohol in the finish.

Pour opaque black, with a slight lighter hue around the edges, and a very small tan head.
Aroma is packed with coffee, chocolate and whiskey. Oak, vanilla, soy sauce, licorice?. smoky and ashy notes as well. The whiskey and oak is present all the way, with hints of tobacco towards the end.
Taste is quite sweet, with a burned and slight bitter aftertaste.
Medium and oily body, with a semi-flat carbonation.
This brew, was the one introduced to me, when i got into craft beer a couple a years ago. Still going strong... apanbosse (17) - SWEDEN - MAR 3, 2012
Loads of character from the barrel, similar to BA gonzo. Aroma and flavor is whisky, oak with vanilla notes, chocolate and coffee. Delicious! GT (10002) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 2, 2012
250mL thanks to anders37. Deep, clear sepia pour with cola highlights. Thinning, tan head. Nose is quite nice: muted bourbon, big umami and medium soy, cinnamon, sweet chocolate. Muted fusel notes. Taste is quite thin, very thin for style, with a hefty dose of ash and dirty earth. Aftertaste is a bit boozy and mouthfeel is so intensely watery that it feels like a mixed drink from a bar like a splash of Kahlua atop a vodka water. Probably the thinnest mouthfeel of any 11% + abv I’ve ever experienced. KingCecil (2086) - DENMARK - DEC 12, 2011
