Veer (362) - Landskrona, - NOV 7, 2009
Aroma: very nice powerful aroma of dark malt, fruity molasses, dough, oak, pear, vanilla and spirits. Hints of lilac, coconut, walnuts and espresso.
Flavour: very full-bodied, nuts, roasted peanuts, distilled barley. Powerful oak presence. Vaguely rosy. Incredible balance between hoppy and heavily roasted bitterness and noble sweetness of fortified wine and dried fruit. Warming finish. The bitterness lingers with cinnamon, pear and lingonberry. Great!
Appearance: Murky brown black body with a sticky looking irregular foam. Heavy lacing.
Palate: Terribly good, silken, oily, smooth, creamy. Its got it all! Heavily vinous with modest carbonation. This reminds me of North Coast Old Stock Ale but its way better!
