Had this at Casey and Tracis tasting 01-08-08 cheers for the great beer and food you two Pours black moving to brown at the edges and with a beige head atop. Quite oily in texture I get a whiff of dusty hops, Loz gets some cheesy clothes, some burnt toast, the bitterness seeps out with each mouthfull and escapes to the back of your mouth, lacking almost entirely in sweetness which is really quite pleasant for a change, bitterness quite pronounced and liquorice and bitter, bitter chocolate (at least 90%) also show. A nice beer that Im surprised that ive only rated at 3.5, still thats what I thought at the time so thats what it will get.
