Danish.

English: Take a good thing and make it even better – that’s the philosophy behind Double Black Mash. This huge Imperial Stout was easily big and potent enough after the first mashing, but we thought what the heck let’s give it another spin. So we mashed it in a second time doubling everything that was already good while aiming for great. All grain, heavy duty, no nonsense. Did we hit what we aimed at? Well, that’s really up to you to decide. If you like it big and black this for is your kinda beer for sure.

Ingredienser: Vand, Malte: Pilsner, Pale, Münchener, Roasted Barley, Cara-hell, Melanoidin, Light chocolate, Cara-aroma, Crystal og Black, Humle: Cascade og Chinook, Gær: US Ale

Flaska från systembolaget. Djup svart färg med brunt skum. Blöt kryddig doft av torkad frukt. Tjock söt och kraftfull smak. Muscovadosocker, sirap och russin.

Bottle @ home. Pours cloudy nearly black with airy but stable very dark tan head. Dark aroma of roast and yeast, with notes of malt and coffee and mild fruity hints. Sweetish flavour of chocolate, malt and yeast, enhanced by bitter notes of roast and freshly ground coffee and somewhat acidic and bitter touches of hops. Roasty and estery aftertaste with bitterish notes of hops. Warming alcohol presence. Well-balanced for a remarkably heavyweighter like this. A very good Danish beer to celebrate obtaining my Danish citizenship.

From Boxbeers. 2017 edition. In Teku glass. Watching Broken mirror 3x05-06. With cured pork loin. Very dark, thick, sticky and sweet, with lots of chocolate and comforting warmth from the abv that doesnt translate to an alcoholic taste

HAPPY #2600 Batch 2016 #1251 BB 02/2021 from Bucket Boys, Sydney Seriously proper like black hole black body - solid opaque dense - holds a orange-tan cream. Bit of a combination of rich dark malt & hop on the nose - cocoa, espresso, dark toffee & toast, citrus, woody spice. Big body, slick, holds on a tremendous amount of time, warm but not hot, rich but not cloying, acrid but not astringent. Very thick - chewy dark chocolate, bitter orange, sump oil (apparently I know what that tastes like?), leafy hop, wood hop, sappy, yeah there's quite a bit of hop here lending a big bitterness and extra texture. Burnt sugars linger on the finish, lots of other stuff, maybe some dark fruits too, yeah, booze too. Pretty bloody huge - sort of love to put this away for a number of years!

A full bodied Imp Stout. Tasted it fresh and tasted it aged for a 1 year, and alot of the taste notes are the same. Thick, almost chewy imperial stout, that is perfectly balanced between sweetness and bitterness. Alot of licorice in the finish, with some light smokiness at the end. Lovely stout! chocolate, coffee, roasty, toast, licorice, soy sauce, vanilla, smoke, woody,
