Bottle at tasting, thanks for sharing dEnk! Pours pitch black with a creamy tan head that laces. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and fruits. Flavor is quite bitter, with pure chocolate, coffee and caramel. Very drinkable yet full bodied stout, nice. Very creamy texture and medium carbonation. mmather (185) - Colorado, USA - MAY 12, 2010
nice smooth beer not unlike other similar beers of its ilk. Not mindblowing, but very nice and smooth silky slightly higher than average in alcohol content stout.

Black color with a thin head. Light roasted barley aroma. And flavor. Slightly acrid taste. Very thin bodied and a bit watery. Just not much happening with this one. Travlr (24758) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - APR 15, 2010
Bottle at Churchkey. Silky black with a sexy beige head. Delicate lacing, and nice legs! Scent of licorice, smoked espresso, nutmeg, and chastity. She is a bit drier than her husband, more subtle, slightly sweet, with flavors of prunes and grapes, but a spicy edge of black pepper. Very attractive. 17thfloor (2443) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 14, 2010
500ml bottle. Pours a very smooth unsticky near black with a wonderful foamy fizzy light tan airy head. Aroma accented by a touch of alcohol, super clean roast, no coffee, oats, smoothly floral, plummy, super clean, and thanks to the Amager guys for giving me some insights as to why = ) ! Flavor follows, light bitterness, no coffee, unique bitterness and faint sweetness that reminds me of the plumminess of some trappist beers, oats, super clean. Medium bodied, smooth with zero stickiness, very well attenuated, beautiful, light sizzling carbonation, very easy drinking. A delight. SSSteve (4006) - - APR 10, 2010
bottle. mostly black with almost no head and a lifeless appearance. potent tootsie roll and dark chocolate aroma. the flavor is also very robust with lots of dark chocolate and that sweet tootsie roll-like flavor. palate is medium-light for maximum quaffage. GAManiac (1944) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - APR 9, 2010
500mL bottle poured into a snifter.
Pours black in the glass with some reddish hints showing through the edges. The head is small and beige, receding to a small cap with some delicate lacing.
The aroma is dominated by roasted black malts, almost burnt notes, cocoa and a surprisingly noticeable hop presence. There is a bit more sweetness than the Hr Frederiksen.
The taste is more of the same with some sweet chocolate malts and toasted, smoky black malts combining to form the backbone of the taste with the citrus from the hops layered on top with some dark fruit sweetness as well.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied for the style, though it’s certainly on the lighter side if you’re expecting an impy stout.
This is almost a semi-imperial stout as it’s got much of the complexity and flavor of an impy stout but with a lighter body. It makes it seriously drinkable.
