Appearance : Pitch black with medium foamy head.
Aroma : Light coffee with roasted malt, some hops too.
Taste : Coffee with roasted malt and hops. Light alcohol on finish with lots of coffee. Resinous and piny hops, rather bitter.
Overall : Interesting beer. Almost drinkable but the alcohol is a bit too apparent to be sessionable. Quite tasty with a great finish, nice coffee and hops. Overall quite good and well balanced but maybe a bit unidimensional. I just saw this is styled as a stout... felt a bit imperial to me. It would kinda of fall between regular stout and imperial stout I think.
Good stout with a good roasted aroma and a fine foam. Very good beer but it seemed a little overrated Sorry. Dfonorow (2216) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 26, 2016

Bottle on New Years, paired with Hr. Frederiksen.
A bit of sweet chocolate in the nose and some peat smoke characteristic. A medium body, slightly leaning towards thick, with a fairly uncommon flavor profile for a stout of this kind, aforementioned peat smoke mixing with some surprisingly strong hop bitterness (bottle is probably near the end of its life). Middle of the road, or perhaps a bit better, for a stout. jjgmd (2146) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - JUL 31, 2014
Pours a dark black pour with a quick dissipating java head. Nose is roasted malt, chocolate , coffee with some bitterness. Taste is rich malt, with deep chocolate and coffee notes and some nice sweetness. Finishes on the same tasting notes, with a moderately long sweet tasty finish. Pours dark brown, almost black with light beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Flavour of roasted malt, burnt sugar, hoppy bitterness and coffee. This is why basics matter.
