COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: It is said that behind every great man is an equally great - and above all - wise woman.
Now this can also be said of the beer world. Perhaps our most famous beer, Hr. (Mr.) Frederiksen is a powerful dude, who enjoys nothing more than to stand and admire his own muscles. Fru (Mrs.) Frederiksen however is a wise woman who knows perfectly well that it is possible to achieve almost as much without using anywhere near as much force.
This Lady is just as powerful but is somewhat toned down compared to the Lord. Slightly sweeter and less smokey although with plenty of black malt, chocolate malt and roasted barley she is no complete sissy - the US Centennial hops with its 60+ IBUs reminds you of this fact.
Bid the mistress welcome - she is here to stay.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt, wheat malt, oats, hops and yeast

ClubGonzo (5668) - Bergen, NORWAY - AUG 26, 2011
Bottle from Ølbutikken, shared with Palme and the Bergen Tasting Crew. First out among the Fredriksen series up for rating is Fru Fredriksen; the lightest of the lot. Pours a black body with a big caramel head. Coffee, licorice, black berries and hints of dark chocolate hits my nostrils in a very pleasant way. Taste is equally smooth; mellow coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malts and hints of black berries and grassy hops blend elegantly on my tongue. This is very nice, although a certain sticky malt sweetness cloys it up a bit after a while. Still, a very solid stout from Amager.

sayravai (4710) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 15, 2008
(Draught) Very dark brown with a tiny, tanned head. Sweetish aroma of roasted malt, lots of coffee and some licorice. Roasted, quite burned flavor with roasty black coffee and some ashes. Medium to full body, slightly thin with low carbonation. Too much color malt to be enjoyable, so at least it needs some time to mature.

Bottle at the RBSG09 grand tasting thanks to Papsoe. Black with a tan head. Chocolate and super roasty, ashy malt nose. Chocolate and burnt malt flavor with a dry finish. Thin in the mouth. Not one of the better stouts of the night, but still ok.

Bottle. Pours black with a beige head. This beer had potential like its husband Mr Frederiksen, all the flavours of coffe and malt is there but the flavour is way too short.
