brown. Smooth ripe fruityness, malty, almondy semisweet nose. Med bodied, smoothsubtle flavoured. Not too sweet icky anything, just nice. This has a lot to offer. Lots of flavours, not that intense, explosive or overrunning, just sorta there. Spices, complex.

375ml Bottle - Copper brown in colour. Toffee, dates, plums, syrup and some earthy notes in the aroma. The taste is moderately sweet with notes of toffee, daim, dates, prunes and apples. Not really tart to my tastes which was partly what I was expecting after it had aged a while. Karstenborg (1149) - Hasselager, DENMARK - JAN 29, 2016

Bottle, batch #159. Opened today. Pours a murky red color with absolutely NO head. No carbonation. Sweet aroma of fruits, malt and raisins. Taste is very fruity - raisins, banana, grapes, caramel, sugar and of course malt. Very vinous and sweet with a slight alcohol burn in the finish. The port barrelling comes through very clearly. Aftertaste is sweet and bitter. Body is less than full but above medium.
