COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

pushkinwow (2888) - Ottawa, - NOV 18, 2012
Bottle from Angst. Dark black with a gorgeous creamy brown head that eventually fades. Nice roasted and sweet malt, molasses, bittersweet chocolate, resiny hops, some anise, bit of plum, brown sugar, vanilla. Full body and lower carbonation, bitter with sweet undertones, some fruit, bit of alcoholic kick, becomes nice and dry with a hoppy roasted malt and a great finish. This is a delicious beer.

Tranquillity (2483) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 17, 2017
Bottled. Opaque black body, medium dark brown head. Aroma of smoke and malt. The taste is syrupy with a good sense of malts and peat.

DerWeg (1702) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 13, 2017
Insanely dark dense pour from bottle plops thickly into glass producing a large thick head of espresso crema-color foam. So much malt and char goodness. Like good German sourdough dark bread plus anise and some toffee / molasses / coffee / chocolate-covered roasted nuts. Hint of smoky roast and sour accents. There's a lot going on here and a thick feel that is not boringly sugar-sticky. A stunning creation.

Spab (4002) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 12, 2017
500 ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours an inky nearly black colour with moderate-sized mocha-coloured head. Aroma is quite dark with anise, charcoal, coffee and rye. Flavour has charred graininess, licorice, coffee, some spicy rye and a little dark fruitiness. Medium-full body. Quite nice.

Gluepot (685) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 2, 2017
A ridiculously dense and dark tan head on a near black body. The nose is solid with roasted malt, dark chocolate and some hop bitterness. The heavily roasted malt leads the taste profile with slightly bitter coffee, cocao, dark toffee or molasses, and ample hop bitterness working well together. A complimentary sweetness from a dark berry presence rounds out a great stout which verges on a black IPA. Slightly slick and sticky in the mouth. Above average viscosity. Plays like a 10% imperial without the booze. I'm buyin' more.

Kita (2210) - Koper, SLOVENIA - AUG 18, 2017
Bottle, 0.50l. Pours pitch black color with thick creamy brown head and great lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, nuts and peat. Taste starts with rich roasted malt and chocolate, follows by licorice, dried fruit acidity, some grass and even slight sourish note, mouthfeel is smooth and warming, while finish is pretty bitter with long aftertaste. Full body, thick creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Piece of art...

lello4ever (1168) - ITALY - MAR 19, 2017
Chiude appena amara in ottimo equilibrio. Carbonazione bassa.
