Bottled at Linköping Beer Expo. Very black, coarse head. Aroma of licorice and tart red wine. Mid sweet with full body and well rounded mouthfeel. Intense flavous of licorice, tobacco, red wine and cherries. Soft and rich - one of the best imperial stouts I’ve had recently! madmitch76 (25568) - , Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 9, 2013

Opaque black beer, tidy tan head. Light dry palate. Mild dark malts. Bretty paint from the barrel. A little unsweet dark chocolate. Dark malt. Nice red wine before the dry finish but there is a little too much barrel weirdness here for this to be great.
Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours a pitch black with a lovely inch thick creamy
beige head leaving a little lacework. The nose has a rich and sweet
berry-like fruitiness that dominates over the normal hard roast
usually associated with Hr. Frederiksen and blending in gracefully. Medium
body, lowish carbonation, sweet subtle vanillaish roast, lots of
oxidized oak accents and now a light tartness blends in as well to make
a rather complex beer. Boozy finish. However I still think Amager
barrel ages their beers too long - they get a little too earthy.

Black color; brown creamy head. Decent aroma of roasted malt, wood, whiskey. Good body strength, strong roasted malt flavor, some dark chocolate, vanilla, some liquorice; there is a high alcohol perception that makes think of whiskey, and a light fruity and sour trace from the red wine. The final is also lightly cheesy.
