Bottle pour sweet malt and mild booze. Taste sweet malt hop front, then mid palate fruit from the wine. Mild roast. Roasty fruity finish. Svesse (8577) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - DEC 15, 2013
(Bottle) Black colour with dense, pale brown head. Roasted, malty nose with strong black coffee, liquorice, a touch of tar, oak wood, red wine and a slight red berry acidity. Roasted, malty taste with black coffee, liquorice, dark chocolate, oak wood, red fruit and a slight red wine tannin acidity in the finish. Full body, with a smooth and rounded mouthfeel. The wine gives it a slightly sweeter taste than the original. Interesting wine barrel aged version. I prefer the original version, but this was very nice.

Thanks to either blutt59 or bu11zeye for sharing this at my pre-BTBF tasting. Dark brown to black pour with a tan head. The aroma is full of grapes and oak with some roasted malt thrown in. The flavor is similar. The chocolate and roasted malt come through up front, but there is some light dark fruit and oak also coming through. Thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation. andrepintado (3323) - Lisbon, PORTUGAL - AUG 3, 2013
