COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nyd Hr. Frederiksen Swedish style.

Smagenoter:
I denne udgave fremstr Hr. Frederiksen stadig i denne version.

250 ml (though the label says 375 ml) bottle, from the brewery. ABV is 10.5%. Batch #300. Pitch black colour, moderate tan head. Strong roasty aroma with distinct notes of oak and red wine. Rich and warming mouthfeel. The flavour is oaky and roasty, with notes of red wine, dark dried fruits, coffee, chocolate and liquorice. Impressive stuff.

Bottle @ Ratmans, courtesy of a Swedish friend. Pours a deep brown appearance with a thin, brown head. Somewhat fruity, grape, plum, fig, caramel, light chocolate aroma. Slightly tart, lightly oxidized, charred roasty malty, chocolate, caramel, fig, leather, plum flavor. Actually, maybe my favorite rendition of the beer.

Opaque black beer, tidy tan head. Softish and semi dry palate with mild carbonation. Smooth dark malt, slight lactose. Mild coffee. Nice touch of red wine, well balanced with the other flavours. Semi dry finish with mild minerals. Nicely put together.

Appearance: Black color with a beige head. Nice lacing.
Aroma: Slightly sweet chocolate and coffee.
Palate: Thick oily body. Balanced sweet and a low bitterness. Creamy carbonation.
Taste: Rick chocolate, coffee and mild roasted malt. Some vinous notes, but not as much as expected. Well hidden alcohol.
Overall impression: Funny version. And where did they find that Swedish wine barrel?
Personal stats: Bottle from a trade with ★rlgk★.

25cl bottle from agnst in Secret Santa. Black with a nice ruby hue, at first a light brown head but quickly fades to absolutely nothing. Vinous, oaky, roast semi-sweet malt, some dark chocolate, boozy bite, anise. Mild carbonation, chocolate and roasted malt, lots of booze and wine notes on this one; viscous throughout, becomes very dry with a booziness that warms you up a bit.

Bottle. Black, tannish head. A lot of new oak on the nose (like biting into a pencil), which pretty much overshadows everything else. Dark, dark, berries, a bit of roastedness. Body is thick. a bit oily. It is a bit like drinking an over-oaked red wine. Except for the bitterness, which is there, lightning things up a bit. This is quite alluring. The fresh oak, the dark berries. Port flavours. Interesting.

(Bottle) Pours black with a creamy, pale brown head. The aroma holds spicy wood, light vanilla, mature wine, dark grapes, coffee, dark caramel, dark bread, dark fruits, tobacco, liquorice, dark berries/blueberries jam and resinous/light green hops. The flavour is light to medium sweet, medium to heavily bitter and light acidic with notes of wine, spices, dark fruits, dark berries, wood, hard roast, aggressive hops and a touch of liquorice. The mouthfeel is round, light sticky and tart with a light carbonation. Finish of smooth chocolate and coffee alongside a light sourish and berry-like wine profile. Lingering bitterness. Medium bodied.
