COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Even when just poured into the glass, you feel straight away that Mr. Frederiksen is a master of potency and great personality. Pitch-black as Mr. Frederiksens humor, this American style Imperial Stout has a dense and creamy, light brown head that leaves an abundance of lacing on the glass as it reluctantly settles.
We are happy to admit that we have gone slightly berserk with malt in this beer, eight different varieties were used including black and roasted malts that give this beer its color and almost extreme density - this is almost a meal in a bottle. The bitterness is also supplied by the roasted malts backed by the American Centennial hops.
Mr. Frederiksen is an experience to be savoured he should be enjoyed slowly throughout the course of an entire evening where you can warm yourselves by his alcohol and provocative charms.
We have named this beer after a good friend without whose wonderful support and assistance Amager Brewery would not be where it is today.
Ingredients: Water, barley malt, wheat malt, oats, hops and yeast

Bottle 50 cl, batch 441, BBE 5/2013. Poured pitch black with a thin bubbly tanned head. Loads of cold coffee hits you as one pours it in the glass. Burnt wood and dark chocolate also in aroma. As it gets warmer notes of milk chocolate is noticeable. Nice so far. Flavour rich and is filled with dark chocolate and roasted coffee. You can taste a mild hoppyness in aftertaste also. Lots of slighlty burnt wood and cold coffee in finish. Felt perhaps a bit different than a regular IS. Quite sweet finish also. Pleasant and smooth to drink, no signs of the high ABV.

Deep brown to black color with a small beige head. Good lacing. Aroma is mildly roasted coffee, raw cocoa beans, coffee liquor. Taste is mildly bitter, intense coffee and cocoa notes and a liquorish, smoked wood presence in the aftertaste. Full body, creamy texture and long bitterish finish.

Pours black with a inch white/light brown head with nice lacing. Immense malt and licorice with coffee, caramel and slight liqueur. Dense and complexed but hides the abv well. A beast of a beer!

Pours a great shiny black, with a thin off tan head. The aroma is of chocolate and coffee, and is slightly sweet. A fantastically creamy mouthfeel , the bitterness kicks in on the finish, completely hiding the alcohol sweetness from its abv .

Bottle. Teku. Deep brown almost black with thick, light brown/beige, three finger head. Average head retention and good lacing. Aroma is roasty, but with not so intense roasted malts profile. Partly its dominated by some milk chocolate notes. This one is chocolatey with medium coffee and licorice character. The aroma is rather pure and raw, definitely ashy and earthy. The hoppy, citrus notes are moderately present. Taste is medium to highly bitter, constant, intensifies in the end. Medium to full body, thick and oily texture, soft to average carbonation, finish is dry, raw, ashy and very dry. In general quite weird RIS, the notes are pure and raw, not so roasted and not so malty. This is pure raw essence, quite different, but nice experience. A little bit overrated.

Totally opaque, black. Tanned head. Although description might sugest a very solid foam head, it does not last that much. Aroma is essentially malts, roasted, chocolate. Taste is almost balanced; its very bitter. Flavour is pretty malty, but you can also find a very hoppy taste and a dry, long finish (centennial hops). Alcohol is very present on this beer. Thick texture, a truly full body, average carbonation. A really dense beer. Overall, a great example of the style.

[Tap, Targowa]. W aromacie alkohol wyczuwalny, oprocz tego odrobina kwasowo?ci i odrobina pralin. Przeci?tnie pod tym wzgl?dem. ?adna, be?owa piana utrzymuje sie do konca. Piwo jest oleiste i pe?ne. Alkohol wyczuwalny, ale raczej rozgrzewaj?cy i nie przeszkadzajacy w smaku. Odrobina czekolady, bardziej kawowo i likierowo. Suszona wi?nia na finiszu. Jest dobrze, ale nijaki aromat obni?a troch? ocen?.

Tap (Targowa, Wroclaw). Black colour, beige head, good lacing. Roasty notes in aroma with delicate coffee, quite intensive. Roasty and chocolate in taste with small note of sweetness at the finish but beer is rather dry than sweet. Alcohol well hidden and small note is like liquor, very nice, warms a bit inside and in the throat.
