Greasy oily golden, not much of a head. Oily soft spicy and nutty brightness. Initial taste is bright, oily malt and formalised sweetness. Soft carbonation and fading mouthfeel, certainly boozy but dusts of blackberry. Finishes lean lemon sweetness. Linger is fairly rich. GlasgowTAD (1778) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - OCT 3, 2015

The foam is rough and the beer is very sparkling. After a few minutes there is sporadic foam on the top and lack of carbon dioxide in the beer. It is extremely difficult to wait for first sip, because the flavor is really attractive. The flavor is malt, heavy ripe fruits like plum and raisin and a little yeast and vanilla. Warming alcohol with large plump fruit is predominant flavor. Furthermore, it offers a mouth feel that is bold and very vinous. The finish is long, fruity, winey and warming. In the aftertaste you will also find clear signs of its aging in Bourbon casks, and together it gives a splendid beer experience. It is a dangerous cocktail of vintage wine, beer and whiskey at once. Incredibly tasty. If you do not have a real glass such as a Westmalle glass, use a red wine glass as an alternative. Also make sure that it is not served too cold, 12-14 degrees Celsius is appropriate. In that way you get all the enjoyment values with. And believe me, there is plenty of enjoyment in this beer. anders37 (26257) - Malmö, SWEDEN - MAY 13, 2015

25 cl bottle. Batch #97. Clear deep mahogany coloured body with a light brown rim. Vinous bourbon, liquorice, light soy sauce and vanilla stand out among the aromas on the complex and pungent nose. Heavy sweet, alco warm and full bodied. Barrel notes, vanilla and oak, even salty tones. Could be an all nighter at home this one. Niller (1706) - Hammel, DENMARK - APR 21, 2014

(Batch 97). Hazy dark brown color with small beige head. Roasted malts, dark fruits, toffee, caramel, dark syrup, vanilla, bourbon, wood. Great mouthfeel. Nice warming in the finish. Delicious.
Bottle (Batch 97) (Thanks to Papsø) shared with Niller - fuzzy brown pour with small beige head. Dark malty aroma and taste, light roasted, medium sweet with toffee, caramel, syrup, wooden oak notes throughout, vinous and dried dark fruits, nice warming but not overt boozy in the finish. Lovely.
