COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Forget about India Pale Ale being an English beer, which should be robust enough to withstand the long sea voyage from England to India. Our version of an IPA is totally inspired by the new interpretations, especially those found on the U.S. west coast.
A solid malt base, combined with Simcoe, Amarillo and Cascade hops and then just dry hopped enough to ensure that the hop burn is thorough. It is fruity and fresh, it’s bitter like hell and it is strong enough to give you a little kick if you drink a couple of bottles or three.
This is how we make a great IPA at Amager. We don’t have a single doubt that you will enjoy our IPA , because it is a damn good beer. Cheers!

DraftDodger (1570) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 20, 2017
Copenhagen 20/4 2017. 50 cl bottle from Meny. Photo of a lot of grainy and hoppy ingredients on the label. What you get is what you see. Pours slightly hazy reddish amber with yellowish head. Settles as thin creamy layer of foam. Moderate lacing. Aroma is dominated by strong citric odors. Grape fruit and citrus. Underlying sweetness with exotic notes, resin and pine. Some fermentation in there as well. Light carbonation and medium thick palate. The flavor lives up to the description on the label: "Bitter like Hell". Light sweetness followed by heavy bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with dry finish. Nice dry and very bitter IPA.

Kita (2172) - Koper, SLOVENIA - APR 1, 2017
Bottle, 0.50l. Clear dark brown color with thick creamy tan-like head, good lacing and sparkling appearance. Aroma of passion fruit, pine, herbs, caramel and cereals. Taste starts with mild sweet biscuit and rich toasted malt, following is grassy and herbal, mouthfeel is crisp and rather dry, while finish is heavy bitter with long aftertaste. Medium to full body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Top shit...

josanguapo (1731) - SPAIN - MAR 24, 2017
From Cervezalandia. In Teku glass. Playing Shadows of the Vatican Act 1. Very bitter, oily and dry, with notes that remind a brown ale. Fine, but I miss a bit more fruityness and refreshingnes

copestx (227) - Vesterbro, DENMARK - MAR 12, 2017
Bottle in Vesterbro. A bit nostalgic as this was my first beer from Amager so many years ago. Pours a dark Irish red with a nice soapy head. Lots of caramel malt with citrus fruit (mainly grapefruit) and pine. Classic NW USA hop profile but with an intense caramel malt palate. A little nutty as well. And a little bit of tropical fruit, which comes the typically awesome water profile used by Amager. Will always be a favorite no matter how "advanced" IPAs become.
