Bottled. A dark red-brown beer with an enormous brown head. The aroma is sweet and very spicy amongst them cloves and cinnamon. The flavor is sweet with notes of molasses, alcohol, and spices among them a very powerful note of cloves, but also some cinnamon, though the note of alcohol is the most dominant that both warms the mouth and leaves a slight burn on the tongue. I think it is a good beer to store for a year or too. Emil (6065) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 4, 2007
Draught at Ølbaren on Øj-Dag. A dark ruby beer with a big beige head. The aroma and taste is of caramel malt, fruity and spicy, not as spicy as many of the micro brewed Christmas beers are, well balanced. Medium body with a dry spicy light alcoholic finish. Re-rate. Bottle at blind tasting. 6-4-7-3-15 = 3.5 A dark ruby beer with a big beige head. Caramel malt, spicy aroma and a light sweet caramel malt, spicy taste. UPDATED: NOV 5, 2007 Fad. Grovlam (4252) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 3, 2007
#31 [Blind tasting @ Papsoe, Courtesy of Storm] Large thick beige head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Dark mahogany colour. Light malty and spicy notes. Hint of caramel and fruit. Sour feel in the sniff. Over the palate, light roasted malt. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and light alcoholic texture. Moderated sweet flavour with light acidic. Spicy like almost bitter finish that lingers which ends in a liquorish feel. 4 / 6 / 7 / 3 / 14 = 3.4 Adenila (1560) - DENMARK - NOV 3, 2007
Draught at Ølbaren.
Hazy dark brown look with a huge lightbrown creamy head. Aroma isnt too intence, different spices are detected along with roasted malts. Flavor is sweet at first, but only for a little bit, since bitterness from roasted malts takes over. Again lots of spices like cloves. Leaves a fairly bitter aftertaste, and a pepper lige spiceyness.
