2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Color lleugerament fosc. Notes de torrat, xocolata i especies en nas. Agradable i fàcil de beure. Lleugera. Potser li falta un punt de contundència.
Ambar bonito, miel. 2 dedos de espuma. Escaso aroma. En boca todo cambia. Textura exquisita y cremosa, excelente cuerpo. Llena de matices, pero excelente en conjunto predominando caramelo, miel, tambien toques especiados... Café, frutos secos. Final calentito, encantador. Backlog. On tap at Green Lion Inn December 2010. Coffee, dried dark fruits, caramel and some chocolate. heavy (2817) - Split, CROATIA - JUL 25, 2013
24/05 A 0.5l bottle courtesy of ogivlado, thanks! It poured hazy brown (darker than 2011) body with medium sized head. Fine sweetish aroma of cocoa, sweet espresso and some dark, dried fruits. That said, it also had a sourish note that was especially pronounced, actually, dominating in its flavor. Acidity ranged from light tomato puree, through coffee, even to vinegar at moments, but nicely blended with other fruity components. Medium bodied with moderate, a bit boring and plain finish with an interesting nutty note. An alright beer, totally different from 2011, nothing special either. ogivlado (7810) - Zagreb, CROATIA - JUN 7, 2013
Bottled 500ml. -Courtesy of and great thx to Papsoe for sending me a bunch of Amager beers to celebrate my 5K milestone. Dark brown coloured, small off-white head, coffee in the nose. Light roasted malt, vinous coffee and dried fruits with mild nutty notes in the finish. Marko (5701) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - MAY 26, 2013
Papsoe’s, through Ogi & Maja, feat. heavy. Dark brown/off white head. Coffee, light raisins, dust, light soap and lighter still milk chocolate in the aroma. Slightly sourish taste, some unremarkable coffee residue, somewhat sweet. Described it as "ok,", "mild" and as a "MehFest", but man am I glad to have tried this, otherwise impossible to get beer...

Bottled. Dark brown colour with a medium off-white head, average lasting and nice lacing. Aroma is toasty, caramel and buttery. Flavor is light caramel, red fruits are also present, chocolate and toffee. Short and dry final. Medium carbonated with medium to high body. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - SEP 2, 2012
Bottled. Rubyish brown colour with a mediumsized foamy off-white head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet caramel malts, mild nutty notes, some syrup as well as mild alcohol and some mild spicy/yeasty notes. Flavour is sweet malts, some mild floral and ripe fruity notes along with some nutty and syrupy notes. lefossoyeur (613) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 15, 2012
Dark burgundy brown with lots of yeast sediment in suspension, topped by a creamy tan head that lasts for a while leaving a thin lace. Sweet and sour aromas, with shy cranberry coming trough. Medium body, a slightly bit of sourness hits first with candied fruit and caramel following. Not a long finish, but enjoyable and very easy drinking. Nothing memorable but well done. Decent taste. Very holiday tasting will keep you warm during the winter. Decent beer. Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 2, 2012
In short: A fruity, roasted, spicy and strangely tart dark ale. Approximate amalgam of stuff. Meh.
How: Bottle 500ml. Consumed approximately 10 months after bottling date, 4 years before expiration date
The look: Opaque dark purple-brown body topped by a medium beige head
In long: Nose has some red berries, a bit of chocolate, a bit of cardboard, tart tropical fruits. Taste has tart red fruits, roasted nuts, lemony acidity, roasted oats, some burnt caramel, burnt paper, a mild-medium spiciness. Body is a bit light and there a few too many little hard bubbles. This wasn’t a bad beer per say, but it wasn’t a fun beer to drink in a way that is hard to put into words. It was here and there and felt amateurish. One of those beer that feels like someone poured 3 different beers in your glass. Drinkable but not good, this is a beer I didn’t need to drink, from now on I will drink less by only drinking high quality beers, and if there is one thing you can count on me doing every day of my life, it is to plan on cutting down on my drinking tomorrow.
