Bottle (bought at brewery about 7 months ago). Pours a clear ruby red color with a huge off-white head. Aroma of malt, hops, spices and fruits. Taste is of malt, hops, fruits, spices and sugar. Body is above medium. Aftertaste is fruity, spicy and with perfect hop-bitterness. It’s good when it’s cold, but this one I’m drinking at room temperature (about 20-25 degrees) and the taste is really smooth and pleasant. Very good. 50cl bottle. Brown-copper colour with small beige creamy head...looks similar to cola. Toasty notes, malts, and licorice on the nose. The taste is softer than expected: lightly smoky, with predominance of caramel and dark fruits. Sugary palate. Medium body, good carbonation. Nice balance overall, and not too heavy at all considering it’s a christmas brew. yngwie (17038) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 27, 2013
Bottle. Almost clear in the glass, brown in color and topped by a small, light beige head. Roasted malts, toffee, coffee and spices, cardamom and cloves. There’s a pleasant and sufficient bitterness in the flavor, along with the spices and malty flavors known from the aroma. Full body and a pleasant carbonatio level. Bitter and malty finish with a spiced touch. A really pleasant brown ale, although not my preferred Christmas beer. 130208 KimJohansen (10492) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - NOV 1, 2012
