COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: Internt på bryghuset har striden raset længe: skal en Imperial Stout være rå, potent og voldhumlet - eller skal den i stedet være blød, blid og imødekommende? Med King Of Kentucky var det for en sjælden gangs skyld sidstnævnte fløj, der vandt det battle. Vi bryggede en helt ny Imperial Stout fra bunden, som var en lille smule sødere end normalt og mindre bitter. Den har så fået lov til at hvile sig i 5 måneder på helt friske bourbonfade fra Kentucky, hvilket har tilføjet krydrede vaniljetoner og et strejf af egetræ. Resultatet er ganske fornøjeligt og særdeles harmonisk. Vi må dog samtidig advare mod at undervurdere kongen her - han sparker bagud. Og vi kan ikke anbefale, at man konsumerer mere end tre flasker på en aften.

Old rating from CBC 2014. Beer in the glass deep black, nice head. Heavy malty aroma. Starts intense malty, light sweetish notes, hints of cacao and chocolate. Warming-malty finish. Nice!

Draft at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014. Pours black-brown with a creamy, tan head. Rich impy stout, with big sweetness, dark sugars, hearty ripe dark fruits. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming to finish, sweet, with more dark fruits, toffee and chocolate. Awesome stuff. Ballsy.

Bottle at home, 13th March 16. Pours thick and black. Aroma is dark chocolate, bourbon, vanilla. Taste is rich chocolate, sweet, slight bitter, really well integrated bourbon barrel, slight wood, vanilla and salty liquorice. Becomes a little sweet for me with warmth, but still very good

500 ml bottle Black pour, light tan head that falls to a thick collar. Good lacing Nose is bourbon, oak, smoked meat, dark fruit, bourbon, roasted malt. Very barrel forward. Sweet vanilla and caramel with dark fruits, roasted malts and smoked meat in the taste. A little more toasty than US versions. Very sweet and roasty. Hold the ABV well. Solid offering

Bottle split at Amager Brewery, thanks to Papso, RBESG ’15 day 3, 22/08/15. Black topped with a decent tan covering. Nose is fruit cake, light charr, roast malt, Chocolate, vanilla, toffee fudge. Taste comprises subtle bourbon barrel, rich malt, toffee, dark fruit shreds, chocolate. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light warming alcohol. Solid BA impy.

A black beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of soy sauce, roasted malt, and dark chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, soy sauce, dark chocolate, and roasted malt, leading to a bitter finish.
