COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

When i bought this, i thought it was beer geek brunch weasel. I cant be the only one that made that mistake. Aroma is a little weak. Not bad, just weak. Sweet maltiness, light coffee, not much else. Pours a nice dark brown color with medium sized tan head. I was expecting pitch black, but I guess not all stouts have to be that way. The taste is smooth and unassuming up front with a sharp hop and coffee bitterness that hits you at the end. ABV is very well hidden. Palate is nice and smooth, could be a little thicker. This is basically watered down brunch weasel. Spring for the real thing (it costs about the same), don't get fooled like I did. This is not a bad beer, but not world class by any means.

Draught at Amager Bryghus. Pitch black with a thin, tanned head. Sweet, roasted aroma with dark malts, chocolate, coffee, caramel malts, roasted notes. Taste is bitter-roasted. Full body with an oily texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes lasting dry and roasted bitter with dark malts and coffee. Gorgeous Stout.

Pours an opaque dark brown color with khaki colored head. Cocoa, roasted malts, earthy, and bread on the nose; follows onto the palate. Full bodied. Finishes with bittersweet cocoa and roast.

On tap @Crossfire, maybe a bit too cold. Got better when warming up a bit. Deep black small beige head. Nose is roasted malt. Taste malt, dark chocolate coffee, alcohol. Short bitter finish. Wonderful

Idiosynkrasie (7508) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - OCT 4, 2016
500ml bottle. Jet black colour with late awakening, small to average, thick & dense, creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, beige to tan head. Chocolately, slightly roasty, dark malty aroma, notes of milk chocolate and dark chocolate, mocha, coffee, some treacle, a touch of peat, smoke and bitumen. Taste is bitter, roasty dark malty, slightly chocolately, minimally nutty, notes of coffee, treacle, a touch of toffee; full body, slightly alcoholic finish. Not as harmonious and balanced as the Bourbon BA version.

Zlotta (3271) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - SEP 30, 2016
Sampled from 0.5 l bottle. Pitch black with a beige layer. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, some hazelnut and a touch of vanilla. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice and some hazelnut, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little roasty finish. Medium body, slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation Very nice!

Koelschtrinker (20388) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - SEP 30, 2016
Intensiv malzig-kaffeeartiger Antrunk. Schokoladig, recht trocken, wenig herb, Röstnoten, eher geringe Süße. Mittellanger Nachhall. Gut. 10/10/9/9/10/10

Coffee and chocolate aroma. Taste bitter coffee, dark chocolate, high alcohol, sweet finish. One year over time. Great evolution.

jinroh (1578) - ESTONIA - JUL 13, 2016
Pours dark brown, bit of beige foam. Aroma has coffee, chocolate and roast. Taste is coming from powerful milk chocolate, bit if booze, prickly roast and dark plums. Very juicy actually. Some ashy roast in the finish.

Tap and bottle rating. Full bodied, rich, oily. Never really kicks me in the dick like a world class imp does, but still a wholly satisfying blend of two top class beerus.
