COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: Når kreative bryggere mødes kan det til tider nærmest slå gnister af den elektrisk ladede opfindsomhed og påhitsomhed som inspireret samvær forårsager. Til tider bliver gnisterne så mange, at der nærmest kan opstå røg i bryggeriet! Og i sådan en koger af et røgtæppe opstod denne øl. Først da tågerne lettede i bryghuset opdagede vi, hvem det egentlig var, vi havde inviteret til denne brygworkshop: Anders Kissmeyer, mastermind bag Nørrebro Bryghus og nu igen idémand til sit nye projekt Kissmeyer Beer samt Mikkellers egen Mikkel Borg Bjergsø, som med sin bohemeagtige charmeklud bjergtager enhver hip ølnørd.
Målet med dagen var at brygge en af ølverdenens mest historisk veldokumenterede øltyper, den robuste og noble Baltiske Porter. Det lykkedes til fulde, men vi må indrømme, at de kreative røgtåger nåede med helt ned i øllet, og det i en sådan grad, at det kan smages. Røgen og de mærke malte er siden balanceret med engelsk lakrids, honning og muscovadosukker. Vi er stolte af at præsentere den røgede baltiske porter Drei Von Dänen, som er opstået i kåd og kreativ leg en glad efterårsdag her på det lille bryghus. Og vi håber, at du kære ølven, vil nyde resultatet af anstrengelserne.

Brewed in 2011!!! Pours deep black with a small beownish head.Aroma of coffee, chocolate, earthy notes and some oak wood. Taste is incredible aged, coffee, chocolste, alcohol, oak wood and some fine earthy notes. Long lasting finish with burnt coffee and oak.

Bottle @ home. Cellared for 6 years. Pours a pitch black liquid with a medium, beige head, good duration and minimal lacing.
Aaoma of dry roasted malt, leather, licorice, soy sauce, vinous raisins, chocolate. Medium to big body, fresh sticky carboantion, low to allright duration. Flavor is sharply roasted with licorice, dark chocolate, leather, raisins, light smoke and oak, alcohol, coffee. Lingering dry coffee, bitter chocolate and orange peel. A bit too much soy in the aroma.

Bottled (backlog). More or less pitch black opaque colour, with a small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, liquorice, mild lactic notes as well as some coffee and mild leathery notes. Flavour is toffee, liquorice, mild alcohol, nuts, coffee and some mild wooden notes. Balanced and quite pleasant.

Keg at Mikkeller & Friends - Copenhagen. Pours black-brown with a creamy, beige head. The nose holds burnt wood, dried and leathery dark fruits, light dusty cocoa. Light to medium sweet flavor with nice bittersweet chocolate, some further leather, raisins, dirt. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and creamy texture. Dry and roasty to finish, with more bitter chocolate and old raspberries. Tasty.

[4/30/14] Draught at Mikkeller Bar in Copenhagen. Black-colored with a tan head. Aroma of roast, coffee, licorice, dark fruits (some cherries) and a vinous note. Bittersweet flavor, roasty, with coffee, a bit of licorice, some dark fruits and a burnt bitter finish. Medium to full-bodied.
