Lagrat på ekfat, och tyvärr så skiner det som vanlig för mycket igenom. Alla vet kanske at jag absolut inte är fan av fatlagrade öl, och precis på samma sätt som tidigare så tycker jag att rökigheten tar överhand och tar bort de riktiga smakerna jag tycker en Imp. Stout ska ha.
I tillägg till fat och trä hittar jag självklart de vanliga smakerna av kaffe, lakris, rostade bönor och choklad, men tyvärr ingen höjdare.

Pours completely, utterly black with a nice, frothy, off-white head that fizzes away at medium speed. Aroma has oak, light smoke, some tobacco leaves, lots of coffee. Very nice. There is a tannin-like tartness underneath it. Medium carbonation, relatively light mouthfeel for the ABV. Some creaminess to it. Flavour is very nicely integrated between the coffee and the oaky tartness. Some vanilla, light smoke and relatively warming and vinious in the finish. Light dryness from the coffee, some roasted malts and dark chocolate. Lots and lots of oak, tannin, blackberry tartness. Very easily drinkable, if the oak is a tad too pronounced.

aroma of coffe, roasted stuff, a sort of sourish citrussy hoppy coffe like aroma (good) - could be the oak, caramel, toffee. complex. good aroma. hints of something powerful.
Flavor is quite strong coffee, roasted stuff, licorice, citrussy and flowery note. wood. Alc well hidden.
Palate is chewwy thick, lots of stuff in this one.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Poured black with a khaki head. Nose is tart, chocolate, and definitely some wine notes. Nice on the palate, chocolate, roster malts, wood, and a tart finish.
