COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Yes, please! This has a heavy Sorachi flavour, so if you are a fan, this is a lovely beer. Plenty of hops, bitter, full bodied.

Turtles (2967) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - SEP 18, 2015
500ml bottle from Systembolaget. Hazy golden, several small bubbles in the glass, big creamy white head, rich lacing. Big hoppy nose, grassy, herbal and floral, citrus, blood-orange, apricot and caramel. Dry and smooth mouthfeel, mildly carbonated. Robust and chewy taste with sweet orange, pineapple and toffee, rich floral bitterness, grapefruit, green banana and pine. Long finish with a high pleasant bitterness.

mile (4052) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 8, 2015
Bottle. Light golden, hazy, average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate to full, malty and sweetish aroma, some caramel and tropical/floral fruitiness (Sorachi Ace?), some grapefruit/piney hoppyness. Body is medium to full, malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish flavor, some caramel and tropical/floral fruitiness, grapefruit - some piney hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish, light - some caramel and some tropical/floral fruitiness, lots of piney - some grapefruit hoppyness, faint alcohol. Sweetish IPA with caramel and floral fruitiness. Really well hopped but way too sweet for me with weird floral fruitiness (Sorachi Ace?).

3.7
DraftDodger (1706) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 31, 2015
Copenhagen 31/8 2015. 50 cl bottle from Gunnar Madsens Vinhandel. Disappointingly there is no drawing of Chewbacca on the label. Pours slightly hazy with big white head. Settles creamy layer of foam with lacing. Aroma is aggressively hoppy with American hops. Citrus fruit and perfumed sweetness. Soft carbonation. Flavour is aggressively hoppy. Citrus fruit is dominating and only subdued notes of sweetness. Long aftertaste with extremely dry finish. No wonder Chewbacca always seems so grumpy if he has to consume this nicely bitter stuff.

Garrold (5606) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 27, 2015
Bottle. Buxton Tap. Hazy orange. Film, and a few bubbles of white head. First thing I thought is that this smells like lager. Then I saw the ingredients and realised why. Behind that, there’s a pineapple and gooseberry fruitiness. Not a whole lot of anything else, mind. Taste is light, crisply tart, then big, punchy, fruity, resinous bitter. More of the tartness on the palate. Pretty robust. Finishes long, resinous, slightly tart bitter. Elements of a great beer here, but to be honest, it’s overall very underwhelming.

Bottle thanks to rouhlas. Pours hazy orange, medium off-white head, dissipates fairly quickly, decent lacing. Aroma is perfume, caramel, floral. Flavor is light sweet and medium bitter, very perfumy and floral, hints of melon. Lingering bitterness. Medium body.
