romanstep (514) - Warszawa, POLAND - NOV 30, 2016
Butelka do 05/2017

Fantastyczna IPA. Średnionasycona, alkohol niewyczuwalny, bogactwo aromatw: grejpfrut, limonka, pomarańcz, ananas, mango. Goryczka zajmująca długo podniebienie ujmująca. Pozycja obowiązkowa.

Bottle 0,5. Pours clear straw to amber with small head. Nose is very rich in hops but without actual own character. Almost a little sour. Taste is fresh but also intense on the bitter and hoppy side. Likeable as such but missing he ran body for a full score. Palate is also longlasting but without real mouthfeel just bitter. Nice hop-experiment but Amager has delivered better than this one.

Golden color with a bit of haze. One to two fingers white head, not very persistant. Nice lacing. Awesome fruity, piney aroma with some touch of oil, diesel. Notes of pineapple, passion fruit, oil, peach, pear and some grapes. Taste is completely dry, no sweetness, pure west coast, but yet its very fruity, even a bit juicy. Same fruity notes as in aroma. Finish and aftertaste are owned by bitterness, graperfuity and passion-fruity one. Its not so huge but quite long and very pleasant. Its super drinkable, almost session beer, which is odd for 7,2% abv. Great IPA!

Tap, Stacja Grochow in Warsaw. Lets skip the appearance - it was allright but the mind made a choice to focus on the other aspects of the beer. First of all the aroma: sweet tropical fruits like pineaple, mango, some resin and lemon. Medium sweet in the taste with pretty strong yet short fruity bitterness. The tropical flavours of great intensity show up in the taste again with an additional punch of fresh coconut - a telltale sign of well used Sorachi Ace. What is the best about this beer is the balance which makes it both interesting and drinkable as hell. Well done.

50 cl from SB. Pours golden, medium clear with white head. Lots of hops in the aroma, pine, citrus, lychee, mango, orange zest, spices. HEavy hop bitterness in mouthfeel, but quite full body with malty flavours. Dry finish. Nice hoppy beer but a bit too much of the bitterness.

Bottle from Beergium. Pours golden colour with some head. Aroma of fruity hops, pine, citrus, caramel, orange, malts. Quite bitter, well carbonated. Not the freshest batch anymore so would probably be slightly better when fresh.

UPDATED: FEB 19, 2017 Excellent IPA. Really well put together and balanced, perfect amount of hops, malt, bitterness, carb is spot on. Nothing to complain about at all. Amazingly solid beer, I could drink it all night.

Pours gold color, clear, with long lasting foamy off-white head. Visually medium carbonation. Aroma: intense hop aroma, which takes on pine, citruses, grapefruit, mango, lychee, lime, orange peel...flavor: pale, cara munich malt flavor which takes on toasted bread, but over malt backbone prevails hop flavor, which takes on fruits mentioned above. Malt sweetness is moderate medium, but hop bitterness is very high and almost harsh, especially in second half and in finish. Finish is dry, bitter, bitterness lingers long in aftertaste. Body is medium, texture is so soft, carbonation is medium. It reminds me on Port brewing wipeout ipa, but this one was more balanced and for sure more drinkable.
