English: Amager Rye Porter is the result of fruitful cooperation between the best of Danish and American brewing cultures. It’s base is made of hard roasted malts and 16% rye. It adds a fantastic sweetness, and a titillating spicy edge, which, combined with a subtle and balanced acidity, is reminiscent of rye bread. This is not a beer for the weak, we’re pleased with the outcome and hope you will be too

Thanks to Bene for sharing the bottle!

Very dark brown beer, creamy brown head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of caramel, mocha, cocoa powder, some alcohol. MF: good carbon, full body. Taste: coffee, dark caramel, chocolate, bitter hops, red fruits. Aftertaste: coffee, mocha, caramel, bitter hops. Pretty rich and intense!

Svart. Kjempehøyt kremaktig skum med litt brunfarge. Skummet klistrer seg til glasset. Pent! Lakrisaroma. Fyldig smak: Frukt & lakris. Syrlig fruktig ettersmak hvor lakrissmaken vedvarer. Et utmerket øl!

Looks like a porter. Aroma and flavor started metalic until it opened up a bit. Taste was roasty and very hoppy with strong rye flavors. Another great dark beer by amager.

Sample @ Porterfestivalen in Gothenburg on November 19. Pours black with a golden brown head. Smell is sweet with roasted malts, coffee and pumpernickel bread. Taste is dry and slightly sweet with rye bread, coffee, bitter chocolate and a slight tartness. Tastes like liquid pumpernickel.

Bottle @ home, labeled as "Rye Porter" on American bottle. Deep brown appearance with a dark brown head that has large bubbles. Rich rye, chocolate malty, cocoa, espresso aroma. Somewhat creamy mouth feel. Thick espresso, very roasty, dark chocolate, rich rye malty, somewhat piney bitter flavor with a big roasty, dark chocolate finish. Somewhat bitter, chocolate malty aftertaste. This is a really nice beer.

Bouteille de 500ml. Batch 292.

(50 cl, batch 292) The look : Dark brown body. Nice mocha head with good retention. The nose : Sweet and roasted, molasses and mild chocolate notes. Some alcohol at the edge with a touch of russian bread. The taste : black malt character, roasted notes and cacao with spicy notes. The palate : Pretty round body with moderate carbonation. Nice creamy texture. The finale : Roasty, bitter and sharp. The appreciation : Enjoyable!
