COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: At Christmas it’s okay to be secretive and surprise each other. And Amager Brewery is no exception as we want to rejoice. Over the past years we have therefore concealed the fact that we have matured a unique beer of quadrupel type in our basement. We have stored it in oak and pine needles, and the flavor is in the sweet direction, while the nose gets reminiscent of ripe fruit, oak, sweets and marzipan.
In collaboration with our help, goblins, we thus brewed the exclusive brew, you have here in hand and are so julet that even Santa Claus only drink it on the holiest day. Secret Santa is filled with the finest ingredients. There are not many bottles of Secret Santa, a beer so secret that it barely exists - so it was not with the help nissernes good will that we were allowed to publish it. Rip it off the shelves, therefore, should you be lucky enough to find it. You will not be disappointed, but maybe a little bit bimmelim, keeping the entire 10.5% alcohol.

Bottle. Thx Morten. Beautiful hazy amber with beige head. Syrupy aroma with pine notes. Sweet flavour with lots of sugar along with a spicy, bitterness in the end. Lovely beer from the best allround brewery in Denmark.

Lore (2898) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUN 2, 2017
mahogany colour, minimal creamy beige-ish head; aroma of unripe plum, green apple, caramel, biscuit and maybe some anise, too; taste of syrupy sweetness with slight burt sugar, plum jam and candied dried apricot; unbalancedly sweet; I don’t really like it...and obviously expected much more...

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2017 50 cl bottle, batch no 1420. Poured in to a Trappist glass. Poured a lovely amber red colour with a thin, white head. Sweet aroma with rich caramel malts, spruce, ripe, sweet fruits, marzipan and oaked notes. Taste is heavy sweet. Full body with a soft carbonation and an oily texture. Finishes sweet with spruce and rich malts. Far too sweet, far too much spruce, far too rich for my likings. Amager is without any doubt one of the best Danish breweries. This is way off for me, had to pour rest of the bottle in the sink. Please stick to the hoppy stuff, guys!

martjoobolut (5121) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - FEB 24, 2017
Bottle, BB 11/2019 (from Boxbeers). Pours murky brownish dark amber with beige head. Aroma is sweet and some bitterness, caramel, fruits, sugar, spices, malt, raisins, bit mashy. Flavor is very sweet, sugar, spices, booze, malt, fruits. Overall: this is just spiced sugar water with some booze and caramel, as far as beers go, this is not a very good one.

Goryczka niska, pikantna, wysycenie niskie, rozgrzewający alkohol.
Ciekawy, wyraźnie świąteczny Quadrupel - mocno słodki i mocno przyprawowy, co mi tu niestety przeszkadza...

Very sweet beer, but I liked it. The color is hazy amber with creamy beige head. Aroma has touch of syrup, caramel and pine needles. Taste is very sweet and there is clear taste of pine needles, dark fruits and caramel. Very nice beer, but don’t drink it too fast. The sweetness and alcohol will beat you down!
