COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Cain is said to have murdered his brother out of envy. At Amager Bryghus we believe that murder is taking things a bit far. However, we admit to being envious because we weren’t the first brewer to come up with the beer style we admire the most: a crisp and hopped up West Coast IPA. We won’t kill anybody because we didn’t come up with the idea first, instead we present to you “Envy” - our take on this style. Humble – yet envious.
We’re not proud to be sinners, but at least we’re open about it…

Brewed from: Pilsener and Munich malts. Hopped with Amarillo, Simcoe and Centennial and fermented with an American ale yeast.

@ Havregatan. Flaska från Systembolaget (45:-). Guldgul färg. Härlig doft av frukter, grape, humle. Smak av tallbarr, grape, humle, frukter. Humlig med rejäl beska. Fantastiskt god.

Excellent IPA, I had the pleasure of trying on draft during a trip to Copenhagen and in bottle that I brought back. Very nicely balanced West coast IPA. Pours clear, with nice white frothy head. Taste is fantastic, piney citrus from the hops blend. Tried several Amager beers, all we’re excellent. Wish I could find them locally.

Clear golden in colour. Aroma of American Hops and grapefruit. Wonderful hoppy taste and a round palate. Long bitter aftertaste. A perfect American IPA!

Bottle. A rather clear golden, yellowish color with a nice frothy white head. Aroma is pineapple, peach, a hint of mango and tropical fruits in general, but also a good malt backbone with caramel and sugar. Taste is really, really nice! It tastes like a classic West Coast IPA. A typical San Diego taste; a nice mix of lovely tropical, juicy (!) flavors from the hops with a nice bitterness - which is not too intense, but still very nice. The aftertaste is dominated by the bitter hops (grapefruit), and it lingers quite long - really, really, nice Still, it has a good malt presence. A perfect hit on the style from a Danish brewery, I’d say. Mouthfeel is medium and nicely dry. One of the best Danish IPAs I have ever had.

Just about perfect scent. Very hops and aroma of flowers makes you enjoy even before you’ve tasted it. Wonderful. Absolutely delectable flavor of hops all tastes. Not too dry either which is good. The aftertaste is left long. But I’d probably wanted to keep it longer. I’m just enjoying every sip I take of this beer. Of course your friends will be "Envy" when you drink it. Bottle from Vinmonopolet. Hazy gold. Light body - a hop showcase. Grass, resin, yet some restraint, this is expertly executed. Very moreish.

Da muss kein Neid aufkommen. Rundum gelungen.

UPDATED: APR 28, 2017 From Cervezalandia. In Teku glass. Watching Los Soprano 6x17, with popcorn. Very resinous, with earthy notes and a great feeling, specially as warms up, when also becomes more tasty and aromatic
