COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: At the Amager brewery we are comfortably situated far away from small-town modesty; we are not afraid of excess, and the term moderation is simply not found in our vocabulary. To us, gluttony is considered a virtue rather than a sin - at least when it comes to one thing: hops! While making this beer we targeted the hops which shone brightest in our hop room, as if they were almost begging to be used in copious quantities. And that is what we did, as befits a Double IPA of the highest caliber. We have squandered to a sinful degree - and we love it. And we bet that you will too!
Were not proud to be sinners, but at least were open about it

Ottima!

golden orange beer with white head. Aroma: Citrus, pineapple, resin, pine. Strong and nice. Taste: med sweet, high, sharp but short bitter. Flavours again: citrus, pineapple, resin. Palate: medium body, light carbonation, alcohol is warming up and kinda increasing bitterness. Overall: Very tasty IIPA. Nice stuff. Even with this high and a little present alcohol on palate, its pretty drinkable.

9.4%ABV. Double IPA. Poured out of the bottle a dirty cloudy dark amber. 16SRM. Nose in the cap was all fresh lavender. Nose is full of pine, citrus and grass. Mouthfeel is soapy. You get immediate full body contact from the malty flavors which are graham cracker, barley bread with caramel before being whisked away to hop land. Definitely hop-balanced with the palate boasting some nice sweet honeysuckle that comes through in brief spurts. Fresh freesias come through in brief spurts. If you aerate the palate a little you start to get the rich funk of the malty wort and maybe some yeastiness. This one just has a ton of sweet and a heap of bitter. The finish is hyssop bitter and it better be to be able to prep your palate for another ride. Again a very masterfully balanced effot from Amager, maybe a little heavy handed given the fac that they made a conscious decision to start with some heavyweight malt and then had to balance it with a ton of carbonation and then had to heap on the hops. So yes, gluttony, yes, absolutely!! Give me more than I need and then more... Goes on Favorites List!
