English: This strong Belgian ale is so rich, so sweet and so luscious, that we wouldn’t hesitate calling it pure lust in a bottle. During the making of this beer the general mood in the brewhouse turned somewhat sensual if not downright erotic! And everybody involved in the brewing spontaneously engaged in heavy cheek kissing. If it wasn’t for the unexpected ring of the doorbell things could have gone even further… This beer is so lustful that we cannot vouch for the consequences if you serve this to your girlfriend over a candlelight dinner. This may very well result in a lifelong payment of child support. We have brewed a beer with the most sensual of sugars we could find at our local grocery store. We were tempted to spice it up with well-renowned aphrodisiacs like Spanish fly or oysters, but frankly we didn’t see the need for it.
We’re not proud to be sinners, but at least we’re open about it…

50cl bottle, batch 666(!) bb 08/2016, EU Local Swap 4: Tak skal du have Enjoyit! Densely sweet upfront: fig&prune syrup, molasses, fruity leather. Tye first sip threatens to become cloyingly sweet as well, but the it develops into a subtler register of earthy, orchard fruit peel, pear syrup, with a generous backdrop of herbal hops and a singular spicy yeast profile. Sweetcake, plum pudding, winter forest, rich moulds. Still a bit unbalanced but as far as lust goes: an enjoyable sipper with less of an ethanolic sideshow than any benchmark Belgian dark ale by Van Steenberge.

light beige head fades with thick bubbles and some lacing. brown colour. aroma of dried fruits, dates, figs, raisins, quad esters. taste like aroma but very cloying sweet aftertaste that ruins it for me. medium body and carbonation bottle 50cl / bbf jul-2016

Backlog rating. Bottle at CBC Clerkenwell, Gunnar tasting. Thanks to Gunnar himself for this one! It pours a brown color with a medium beige head. Aroma is quite sweet with notes of caramel, candy sugar, hazelnut syrup, toasted bread and butter. Taste is again sweet with notes of toffee, burnt sugar, hazelnuts, booze, plums. Finishes boozy and sweet. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Overall, too sweet for me and could use more body

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2014 If you would like to smell & taste caramel, dark fruits (figs, plums), brown sugar, benzaldehyde, than this is your beer. This beer represents the whole problem with the Sinner series from Amager: an air of persiflage. The Belgian Strong ale version is undrinkable because it has more sugar than liquid. The Saison version is undrinkable because it has more clove than liquid. The Westcoast IPA is more DMS than fruity. The Imperial IPA is more like a sweetened onion. The APA is rather herbal tea than beer ... I do get the marketing trick behind it; It is a sin to sell these beers. Avoid.

Boutielle 50cl, batch# 830, BB 07/2016.

Chocolate brown with thin light brown head. Raisins, caramel and sweet bread. Sweet in the mouth.

Nische (2192) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 23, 2014
Dark brown pour. Boozy aroma and taste with sweet caramel, raisins and burnt sugar. Probably needs to age for some time.

SlovakSniper (5561) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 18, 2014
Batch 630.

500ml bottle, batch 630, hazy dark amber hue, with a fluffy beige head. Mild fruity, spicy belgian trappist yeast nose, with some dried raisin, date, fig esters, with a candi sugar, toffee, raisin pie, faint nutmeg, light boozy port wine accent an a faint date square, soft oatmeal date cookie note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate, with a warmth sweet candi sugar, trappist fruity yeast, caramel, toasted, chocolate malty, spicy character, with some prune juice, raisins, figgy, toffee, brown chocolate, fruitcake, faint port wine, plum, nutmeg flavours, leading towards a warming, sweet fruity yeastiness, sweet candyish sugar, figgy, raisiny fruitiness, lingering port wine, caramel, roasty maltiness finish.

rodenbach99 (4572) - Longueuil, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 18, 2014
