English: We thought about this for a long time: what kinda beer would give us the utmost feeling of pride in The Sinner Series? Well, if you know Amager Bryghus you already know that Imperial Stouts have a special place in our hearts. So Pride simply had to be an Imperial Stout. What is special about this take on the style is that we boiled the h out of it. Actually we boiled it for 6 hours, making for a richer and fuller version. We would never dare calling this the perfect Imperial Stout - that would be taking pride way too close to hubris! But we hope you enjoy it nonetheless. Were not proud to be sinners, but at least were open about it

Brewed from Pale Ale, Wheat, Crystal, Black, Chocolate malts and roasted barley, hopped with Zeus and fermented with an American yeast strain.

Black indeed with brown lacing foam head. Light aroma, strange. However heavy taste, coffee, little sweet. Lasting, bitter aftertaste. (Lille 201404)

Bottle shared by martjoobolut, thanks! Brown, almost black beer, brown head. Nose is malty with metallic notes, some sweet chocolate notes. Flavour is sweet mild roasty malt, chocolate, coffee, spicy alcohol notes. Smooth, almost creamy palate, very drinkable for the style.

50 cl bottle @ home. Batch #703, BBE 10/2018
Aroma has sweetish malt, licorice, some vanilla and fruity tones. Flavour is rather ashy with licorice, some tobacco, resiny hops. Finishes with some berry juice tones. Feels a bit watery for this ABV and style. Hoppy and ashy IS with some slight off-flavours.

500ml bottle (Stockmann, Tallinn)
Sticky stodgy sweet aroma. Beautiful black, dark tight tan persistent head. Sticky sweet palate, burntness a touch astringent, but not quite ashy, a little harsh. Rich roasty body, bitterness like artificial sweetener. Finish has earthiness, almost Bramling Cross like. A bit too sticky and slick. Respect for covering 10% so well, but its not a very interesting stout. Not fighting the glass, but I wouldnt go back for more, drinkability too low because of the stickiness.
