COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: We thought about this for a long time: what kinda beer would give us the utmost feeling of pride in The Sinner Series? Well, if you know Amager Bryghus you already know that Imperial Stouts have a special place in our hearts. So “Pride” simply had to be an Imperial Stout. What is special about this take on the style is that we boiled the h… out of it. Actually we boiled it for 6 hours, making for a richer and fuller version. We would never dare calling this the perfect Imperial Stout - that would be taking pride way too close to hubris! But we hope you enjoy it nonetheless. We’re not proud to be sinners, but at least we’re open about it…

Brewed from Pale Ale, Wheat, Crystal, Black, Chocolate malts and roasted barley, hopped with Zeus and fermented with an American yeast strain.

Medium dark brown head. Opaque black body. Roasty toffee and marzipan aroma with chocolatey notes. Dry-sweet roasty toffee and marzipan taste with resiny roasty notes. Full-bodied. Sharpish, slightly hot mouthfeel. Dry roasty resiny minty aftertaste with vivid burnt licorice notes. Lovely! Full of delicately balanced vivid flavours. (0.5l bottle, from Kihoskh, Copenhagen.)

A dark brown beer, with a nice beige head. An unclear beer, probably refermented. In the nose there is bitter from roasted malts, but also from hops. It is fresh smel, with some alcohol. A full bodied and creamy beer, with a low but very fine carbonation. The beer has rich taste of: coffee, hop, alcohol and malt. The aftertaste is strong coffee, long and light alcoholic. A very nice rich creamy imp. Stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle share at the Rainbow IPA mini event at the King William IV. Thanks to Colin (although you might wanna try some yourself mate lol!). Almost opaque dark brown beer with a small pale tan head. Nice creamy dark malt with a touch of coffee and a whisper of dark chocolate. Tangy and slightly bitter dried fruits. Dry finish. Like the front end, the back end - not so much!

UPDATED: OCT 3, 2013 Tap at Borefts ’13 after my bottle of this got snaffled by the thirsty London Crew in the beer garden of the William IV some 6 days previosuly before I’d had chance to rate it, 27/09/13. Black with a thin tan head that retains well. Nose carries a roast malt blast, light smoke, dark chocolate, earthy tones. Taste comprises roast malts, milk chocolate, tar, molasses. Full bodied, fine carbonation, roasty tones in the finale. Solid enough impy.
