Danish: Saisoner er in. Saisoner er hippe. Simpelthen.

English: Saisons are in. Saisons are hip. Its as simple as that. So far, no one has come up with a good explanation as to why this very traditional Belgian farmhouse style has suddenly skyrocketed in popularity amongst the in- crowd of the beer geek nation. Except, of course, for the fact its simply a very delicate drink in all of its refined simplicity. But weve committed a sin. We couldnt resist. We poured our Amager Saison variety into a barrel. We hope the soft tannins from the wood and the noble Pinot Noir grapes add a juicy extra twist. By doing so, we may bring the wrath of Saison fundamentalists upon ourselves. But frankly, we dont give a damn!
Were not proud to be sinners, but at least were open about it

Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours dirty dark amber with a frothy heads that dissipates but leaves a nich scum layer on the surface. The aroma is yeasty sweet and citrusy. Delicious. The taste brings on the complexity of the wood, which means mowe bitterness. It tips the balance over to the hoppy side and disguises some of the malt. Its a good beer, but he sour and bitter wins over the malty and sweet. Its a soft beer, though, and an excellent appetizer.

Bottled 500ml (Beergium. batch 714)
Hazy amber color, small steady white head. Fruityness, some sugary notes, cardboard and grass. Medium-bodied. Some fruityness, a bit earthy, Belgi yeasty, light alcohol. A bit white wineous. Not common Saison but more like strong Belgian ale, feels more than 6.5%.

Kita (2022) - Koper, SLOVENIA - OCT 2, 2016
Bottle, 0.50l. Cloudy amber brown color with medium creamy off-white head, good lacing and sparkling appearance. Aroma of wine, tanins, vanilla, dark fruit and wood. Taste starts medium sweet grainy with vanilla note, follows by dried fruits, grass, nuts and strong barrel note, mouthfeel is smooth, alcoholic and mild spicy, while finish is pretty bitter. Medium to full body, thick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Barrel aging just doesnt suit me well with this saison. Feels even more strong ale-ish...
