English: The sunstone - much disputed among scholars. Did the Viking navigators really have such a tool that would help them point out what was east and what was west - even on a less than sunny day? We certainly believe so. Many years later no sunstone was needed when Amager Bryghus was invaded by what very much looked like Viking ancestors of American descent. Hailing from Munster, Indiana, Chris Boggess and Barnaby Struve of Three Floyds Brewing arrived not with a vengeance but with very loud King Diamond on their portable mp3 player. This was not a day for slaughter but for brewing. And brew we did. The mellow and dangerously quaffable Arctic SunStone is proof that even Viking warriors can have a more subtle side to them. All hail to Three Floyds.

Ingredients: Water. Malts: Pale, Munich, Melanoidin. Hops: Tomahawk, Citra, Centennial, Simcoe. Yeast: UK-ale.

UPDATED: NOV 14, 2016 From Miguel. In Teku glass. Playing Broken Sword 5. Initially feels soft and sweet, with tangerine-like fruityness. Later the bitterness becomes much more noticeable. Memorable aftertaste

UPDATED: NOV 5, 2016 PTP kran: zlote, dosc klarowne z ladna piana. Aromat cytrusowy i lekko zywiczny, niezbyt intensywny, ale przyjemny, czysty. W smaku delikatne, wytrawne, ze srednia do niskiej grejpfrutowa goryczka. Wysycenie nie za duze, drobne. Bardzo smukle, eleganckie, delikatne piwo, choc moze odrobine wodniste.

Pours a thick beige head with subtle hops aromas. Dark orange colored body. Bitter old hops in mouth, excellent low alcoholic out of meal beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

W nosie średnio intensywnie, słodkie cytrusy, ananas, żywica, herbatniki. Barwa złota, lekka opalizacja, piana szybko się dziurawi i opada. W smaku średnio wytrawne, dość płaskie, trochę tropików, żywicy, jakieś słodkie nuty wanilii i lukrecji, dosyć to wszystko mdławe. Goryczka średnia, grejpfrutowa. Średnio jak na Amagera. Butelka do 04/2017

Fresh bottle. Aroma of orange, mandarin, bread, pine, rye? Pours out a murky almost brown colour with an off white head. Not great looking. Taste is softly bitter and medium sweet with notes of mandarin, bread, pine. Not that bitter for a Amager brew. Medium body, very easy drinking, soft carbonation, fruity and mildly bitter finish. If you expect the usual more intense bitterness you’ll be dissapointed. This is all about hop flavours, not bitterness.

Solid enough, although by no means the the best from Amager. Fairly mellow hops, little carbonation.

0,5l bottle from Beergium, best before 11/16 so not the freshest batch. Pours golden colour with moderate head. Aroma of malts, citrus, fruits, slight caramel. Pleasant to drink.
