English: The sunstone - much disputed among scholars. Did the Viking navigators really have such a tool that would help them point out what was east and what was west - even on a less than sunny day? We certainly believe so. Many years later no sunstone was needed when Amager Bryghus was invaded by what very much looked like Viking ancestors of American descent. Hailing from Munster, Indiana, Chris Boggess and Barnaby Struve of Three Floyds Brewing arrived not with a vengeance but with very loud King Diamond on their portable mp3 player. This was not a day for slaughter but for brewing. And brew we did. The mellow and dangerously quaffable Arctic SunStone is proof that even Viking warriors can have a more subtle side to them. All hail to Three Floyds.

Ingredients: Water. Malts: Pale, Munich, Melanoidin. Hops: Tomahawk, Citra, Centennial, Simcoe. Yeast: UK-ale.

Bottle. Large creamy head. Cloudy yellow color. Aroma of peach, citrus, fruit, light malt. Over the palate, citrus, mango, fruit and dusty malt. Medium body, average carbonation, light dry texture. Light bitter and sweet flavor. Light fruity and citrus finish.

0,5l bottle. Nose: tropical fruits, some spicyness and malty breadiness. Taste: canned pineaple and mango, peaches, piny bitterness. Nice!

Bottle delivered to me by a good buddy who is an even better buddy after this gem. Lots of tropical fruit, passion fruit, mango, pineapple, guava, yeah, tons. Great malt/hop balance for an APA, super high drinkability despite the alcohol and IBU. A top APA by my measure.

Aromat: dziwnie mało intensywny, w nim trochę cytrusów i żywic. Wygląd: pięknie wygląda, złoty bursztyn, dosyć przejrzyste, ładna i wysoka, bielutka, drobnopęcherzykowa piana.

3 finger persisant, creamy white head. Super hazy, deep orange to brown-ish coloured beer. Aroma is sweet orange, floral and grapefruit peels. Hints of pineapple and passionfruit. Pleasant but a bit too weak. Taste is dried, slightly tart berries along with a big breadiness and pine. Tropical fruits at the back. Medium-thin as a APA should be but with nice oily mouthfeel and a really tasty but not overwhelming bitterness bite. Semi-dry at the back. Insanely drinkable but becomes a little watery at times.Mild but effective carbonation. Overall: I love Amager’s Pale Ales because they usually come with a really nice maltiness and it’s no exception here. I mean this one isn’t a explosion on the tastebuds but it’s very pleasant to drink with a good mix of flavours. Good stuff! Edit: Colour and taste changed quite a bit when I poured in the last yeasty bit. A lot more tropical in the taste and went from semi-clear to super hazy.

Matschepampemuffcascadekuhlenduft trifft yeasty Ryebrother with a Touch Of Sourdryness in the background. Maybe on Tap ✨🙂!? Da geht noch was. Where is the Tomahawk/Citra Power!?.😋.0,5/5€. Direkt aus Kastrup ✨ .

Tap at De Koffer. Murky dark golden with off white head. Papaya, some mango, caramel malts, orange. Basically lots of nice fruits with decent malt base. Light yeast and chalk. Just medium sweet and medium bitter. Medium bodied. Quite good.

September 12, 2015 - on keg at The King’s Arms (Shoreditch). Hazy orange with a foamy white head. Solid aroma - strong resin bitterness, extra malty/grainy, not much alcohol. Taste follows - standard west coast thing, just maltier ... solid body, strong carbonation, surprisingly quick finish and no linger - quite an easy drinker - would have it again in a shot.

A’ber with medium off-white head. Hoppy aroma with yeast notes. Good bitterness with fruity sourness followed by slightly sweet background.

Panzerfaust (848) - Hanga Roa, Easter Island, CHILE - MAR 13, 2017
50cl bottle from Beervana. Pours a hazy orange color with medium off-white head that leaves a fine lacing. Aroma is hoppy, fruity with notes of tropical fruits, orange, passionfruit, mango and traces of citrus. Not much in terms of malt balance. Taste is bitter, but not overly so. Main flavors are fruity but coated with that citrusy (and even piney) astringency. Fairly easy to drink. Relatively low carbonated. It’s a well-done Pale Ale, although I expected something special considering the price tag in Chile.
