COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
AMA is a transatlantic brewing project that carries the signature of Amarcord Beer, with its origins in a meeting in New York with Garrett Oliver, the Brooklyn Brewery brewmaster, and the internationally famous designer Milton Glaser, amongst other things the inventor of the "I love NY" logo.

Amber, intense in colour and with a persistent head. Intriguingly aromatic bouquet. Soft and balanced, with enjoyable toasty notes, hints of red fruits and a slight spiciness from refermentation in the bottle, which adds even more interest.

- Hazelnut foam, abundant and compact, persistent, followed by beautiful Bruxelles lace.
- Amber ale with brown reflections, opalescent
- Round and hot body, medium carbonation.
- The olfactory intensity is good, characterized by clear hints of mature fruit, dried fruit, yeast, roasted (chocolate) and caramel. Scents of a classic panettone with raisins, fairly typical of real brown Belgian ales.
- The palate reveals a slight bitterness from the roasted malt, covered by the alchol notes and sugar candy.
- In aftertaste still feel the notes tasted on the palate, intense but not too long, offering a beer from the delicate final and sweetly easy to drink. A beer richly perfumed, intense, warm and full-bodied.

Idiosynkrasie (7508) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUL 6, 2017
330ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with small to averge, frothy, diminishing, beige head. Sweet-ish, fruity aroma, notes of plum, raisin, raspberry, minimally bready and toasty, malty basis. Taste is moderately sweet dark malty and fruity, minimally toasty, bready and chocolately, hints of dried fruit and dark berries, minimally leafy-spicy overtones; warming hints of alcohol in the finish.

MoritzF (9901) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - MAY 31, 2017
(bottle, 33cl) Almost clear, dark amber to brown colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Mildly sugary and toasted malty aroma with notes of caramel, as well as hints of dried fruits, raisins. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Slightly nutty and sugary malty taste with notes of dried fruits, shades of caramel and cacao; moderately sweet and mildly toast-malty finish with fruiy spots and a well-covered, almost deceptive alcoholic strength. 12.VI.17

Schlumpfhunter (192) - Bavaria, GERMANY - JAN 29, 2017

GoufCustom (1998) - HONG KONG - OCT 21, 2016

355ml long neck bottle bought at YATA in New Town Plaza, Shatin.

Looks: Clear copper brown colour with very thin trace of yeast particles; Half finger head and off-white foam which lasts for 1 minute; Very good sticky lacing with very slight carbonation.

Aroma: Fragrant and sweet malt, with strong banana, dark fruits, strong caramel, vanilla, strong bubble gum, light chocolate, sugar, bread, strong Bel yeast and very light grass.

Taste: Mid to light sweet malt, with caramel, light toffee, light dark fruits, light floral, candi sugar, biscuits, strong Bel yeast, fair lemon and light bitter grassy hops.

Body: Medium body. Thin and slick palate.

Mouth Feel: Fairly good maltyness in thin background, Basic caramel and light toffee with light dark fruits, light floral and hints of chocolate. Candi sugar sweetness is fair as most of it thin out the beer. Fairly yeasty with touch of lemon to round. Pretty good!

Hoppiness: Very light grass in nose. Light floral, light lemon and light grass in taste; Bitterness is light for an abrupt, very low astringent sweet malty finish.

After Taste: Fairly dry. Fairly Sweet and easy to mouth.

Comments: This one tastes somewhere between a Dubbel and a Brune. It’s competent but all the main characters seems to be missing quite a bit - body is too slim, lack of dark malty roast and chocolates and silkyness. Only the Bel yeast and nice fruity aroma being the bright spots here. It’s neat, but can be a lot better.

beertopgun (1) - FINLAND - AUG 28, 2016 does not count
Very nice botte design made me grab this one. The refermentation after taste is apparent and sugary, soft on the palate the malt is clear and tastes clean. Some chocoate tast I noticed also somewhere far far away.

Blueshawk (465) - Bad Bellingen, GERMANY - AUG 28, 2016
