COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Uma cerveja única! O bacuri, fruta nativa da Amazônia, de produção extrativista, é utilizado nesta exótica receita. Com baixo teor alcoólico e muito refrescante, é bastante perfumada.

It’s brewed by Amazon Beer in Belém, Brazil and it’s brewed with bacuri fruits which is native to the Amazon rainforest. Pretty sick. I’ve never tasted (or even heard of) bacuri fruit before, so this ought to be interesting! But first; the beer pours a crisp and clean golden body without much of a head. The aroma is somewhat cidery, fruity and exotic - but not that strong. The taste is even lighter. At first it’s like drinking a very very mild lager, but then you’ll get hit by the fruityness and dryness. I have no idea how bacuri tastes but this is a bitter-sweet sensation. It’s actually not that bad. It’s very refreshing! I guess that’s what they intended.

ABV 4.1 %, 330 cl bottle from an Amazon order of Latin beers. Aroma is fruity/sweet (lychee kind of flavour if you ask me) with a malty base. Short lived tiny white head, clear golden body. Tastes more like a fizzy fruit drink than beer, but there are beer tones there. This could be a nice alternative on a hot summer’s day in the park.

Bottled. No chance to pour. Huge carbonation and fizz, very light and airy with fruity notes. Not much of a finish.

Bottle as a gift, from Ocado. Weakish golden yellow and well carbonated like ginger ale. Pleasant tropical fruit aroma but very one dimensional. Like a soft drink. And it tastes like a soft drink: sweet with only a hint of spicy bitterness in the back of the throat. Watery body, extremely carbonated. Doesn’t taste like a beer. Its pleasant enough but as un-beer-like as a beer can get.

Bottle, ogar. Pours in cristal clear pale body with no head. Aroma has sweet lemon tones, little bit like pineapple in the background, malty. Taste has refreshing high lemon sweetness, little bit like berries, probably what bacuri would taste like? Bitterness is on the low side. Body is medium, high carbonation, refreshing.

Clear yellow without head. Aroma is cooked corn, honey, tropic fruit (apparently bacuri?), sweet. Taste is a little paper, slight fresh sourness, some fruity sweetness, good if there were no paper. Pretty watery with some more sourness in the finish. Some fine bubbled carbonation. Ok actually, but not as fruity as I thought.

4.1% ABV bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Pale golden with no head. It has a lemon and herbal fruity flavour with slight sugary notes on the smooth lemon and lime finish. Ok.

Bottle at GJBF Osaka 2016. Nice citrus nose, a bit soapy. soapy oily body, tart, lemon flavor. Tasty and summery.
