From 22 ounce bottle. Lots of ginger flavor, but really fresh and tangy ginger. Amazingly well balanced and refreshing.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at NAOBF. Pours a clear copper color with a small white head. A huge natural ginger nose. The flavor is malty, fizzy, big ginger, lively carbonation. Quite smooth and very drinkable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JUL 6, 2013 Bottle pour. Vibrant, spicy ginger and orange juice aroma. Spicy, rich and expressive ginger root with some waxy sunscreen and tangy citrus acid. A better version than the rose petal or base golden ale, actually. I usually prefer unadulterated Belgian ales and saisons but I have a soft spot for ginger beer, and in this case the ginger gives the base beer some life and vibrancy that the yeast strain just can’t provide on its own.

Bought a bottle from Tom Kramer a the Orenco Farmer’s Market. Light, refreshing, full of ginger flavor with some spice and a slight bitter bite at the end. It has a bright golden to honey color, wonder balance of carbonation and unmistakable Belgian influences from the farmhouse yeast. If you like ginger and/or unique beers, this beer is worth seeking out.
