Small, but persistent dark beige head over black beer with red highlights. Rich nose, not sweet, but mild coffee, roasted and pine needles, slightly smoked. Sweet, coffee-filled chocolate bar, melted; even a bit praliné. Medium to well-bodied, quite slick, alcoholwarming if discreet. Good porter - the real Baltic Imperial! An excellent initiative of Bractwo Piwne!

Bottled. Black with a large, beihe/orange head. Milky toffee-aroma with some light sourness and vanilla. Vinous flavour with licorice toffee and sweet fruits.

very dark cruby red to dark brown beer with a small beige head. Aroma of milkchocolate, dark malts. Sweet but plesant taste, milk choclate, chestnutcream, very nutty, with notes of brown sugar. Slightly roasty aftertaste. Not overly impressive but incredibly drinkable.

goes down nice and easy. I think that the other posters here sum it up best by saying that it is a very drinkable porter. Starts off chocolaty and manages to transition to almost a caffe corretto. I noticed. My only complaint is the rather bitter (well past "roasty") aftertaste. Perhaps this was just my bottle (purchased at the local supermarket in Wroclaw).

Dark-chocolate brown with a giant cappuccino head. Oh, if only there were as many slang terms for parts of beer as there are for parts of the human body, then all my reviews would sound quite the same! Flavor is saucy mole, sweet chocolate caramel syrup. Aroma is rich and fills the nostrils. Medium body. Light touch of spiced hop bitterness, like a dab of whipped cream. Smooth. Great BP!

UPDATED: OCT 11, 2013 Aroma is roast coffee beans. Head is beige; nice and lasting as a thick ring. Color is almost black with strong coffee reflections when facing sunlight. The taste is great. You can’t really feel the booze so much and that’s great for a porter! Taste is delicate and the finish is very mild. Very good, although a bit boring.
