330 ml. Bottle sampled @ O.B.E.R. Kestbierfestival 2014. (Thx!) Murky brown, little tanned head. Nose is sweet boozy, vanilla, oak; taste is lavender, bitter, soap, basic strong vanilla & bourbon sweetness. Soapy body. Actually decent esp. for this brewery.

Bottle, trade from Benzai. Hazy bronze color body with medium white creamy head. Aroma has light acidic character, woody touch in the background. Taste is much more complex, begins with high malty sweetness with sweet brandy after taste, woody, light vanilla, low to almost none bitterness. Body is full, medium carbonation.

Een bier dat goed ruikt en een heel uitgesproken smaak heeft, maar het is niet mijn ding.

Clear amber reddish with a thin white foam. Nose has red fruits, marmalade, brandy notes. Medium flat body with notes of brandy, warm, fruits, oak. Very complex and extremely balanced, dry warm finish.

JulienHuxley (5701) - Trois-Rivires, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 30, 2014
Bottle, 2013, says 10,5% on the label. Cloudy amber pour with creamy white head. Aroma of intense oak, brandy, rich vanilla, caramel, almost bourbon like, intensely aromatic and brandy forward. Taste is boozy, tons of barrel, brandy notes, fruity alcohol flavors, sweet, some acrid barrel notes. Palate is rich, full bodied with good carbonation. Not a bad beer, but pretty taxtbook over-aged, very unidimensional.
