Looks great, but almost no aroma. A lot of caramel malt, but just a tad sweet. A very smooth drinkable dunkel, light in color, orange-brown. I found this to be a good brewery to start by birthday with in Bamberg!

Tap @ Brewpub. Pours amber orange with a small creamy head and lacings. Tart flavor with notes of grain and plastic. Some yeast and caramel. Clearly infected . .

Draft sample at brewery. Pours a deep dark brown. Aromas of roasted malts, smoke, and hints of fruit. Flavors of the roasted malts, some fruit, with a light choco aftertaste.

Draught at the brewpub. Medium brown, similar actually to the St. Georgen Brau Keller bier that I drank the night before across the street. Not much in maltiness or sweetness, super carbonated—way too much so actually, and with an earthy taste to go along. Very dry, slightly hoppy, but very earthy. It was ok, but I did not like it much.

Cycled into town (Bamberg) from our campsite just outside at Bug 16-06-10 had this on tap at the brewpub Ambrausianum Pours brown and is cloudy in appearance but light poor in pub so difficult to be anymore certain. The nose is sour and fruity, malty and tangy in the mouth some sour fruit not that great. A5 A3 T6 P3 Ov11 2.8

meerbier (1474) - Pijnacker, NETHERLANDS - MAR 16, 2010
[email protected] Quickly disappearing head, leaving no lace. Burnt sugar flavor, very sweet and unbalanced. Full of technical flaws and besides that not very easy to drink.

Clear amber with a medium off white head. Soewhat malty aroma with hints of caramel. Sweet flavour with malt, caramel and diacetyl. Finished sweet.

On tap in Bamberg. Color was an amber auburn with not much head. Aroma of caramel malt and bread. Flavor was very much the same. Sweet malt with some strange Belgian like qualities. A light earthy bitterness. Not really good, but I probably liked it more than most.

Slightly hazy light amber. Slight crackerlike aroma is fairly uninspiring. Thin, some cracker notes. Very sweet finish. Watery. Light cracker finish with cantaloupes and lychee silliness.
